Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 35 points (13-of-19 FGs, 9-of-14 FTs), six rebounds, one assist and one steal in Wednesday’s loss to the Timberwolves.

Giannis came out hot in his official Heat debut, scoring 14 points in the first quarter. He went into the halftime break with 21, but no other Heat player scored more than seven. Antetokounmpo finished with a solid stat line, but fantasy managers may have hoped for more on the defensive end. The Heat host the Pistons Friday in the first of two games in as many nights before visiting Charlotte on Saturday.

James Harden tallied 16 points (5-of-12 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the 76ers.

Harden was limited to six points in the first half of Thursday’s season opener, then scored 10 after halftime. However, ball control was an issue in the second half, as the Cavaliers’ point guard turned the ball over four times. As a team, Cleveland committed 15 turnovers in the second half, which helped them blow a 29-point lead. Harden and the Cavs will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host the Nets.

Jaylen Brown amassed 21 points (10-of-20 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.

On most nights, when a player needs 20 shots to score 21 points, the efficiency is an issue. That wasn’t the case for Brown, who shot 50 percent from the field against the Cavaliers. He didn’t attempt any free throws on Thursday and has four total through two games. Given Philadelphia’s offensive firepower, Brown could miss out on some of those “free points” that helped him average a career-best 28.7 points per game last season.

LeBron James tallied 17 points (5-of-14 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals, one block and one three-pointer in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.

James was responsible for five of the 76ers’ 14 first-half turnovers, and the offensive inefficiency led to Philadelphia falling into a 29-point hole. LeBron was much better in the second half, recording a 12/7/4/1 stat line with no turnovers. While the field-goal percentage and turnovers could be problematic at times, fantasy managers rostering James don’t have much to worry about right now.

Joel Embiid accounted for 24 points (8-of-16 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer in Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers.

After scoring nine points on 3-of-10 shooting in the first half, Embiid shot 5-of-6 after halftime, scoring 15 points. His increased production helped the 76ers erase a 29-point deficit, as Nick Nurse’s team ramped up defensive pressure and played with more pace on offense. Embiid’s ability to keep up with his new teammates is something to watch, especially when considering his injury history. But for the most part, he’s been good through Philadelphia’s first two games.

Tyrese Maxey finished Thursday’s win over the Cavaliers with 32 points (12-of-23 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, six assists, two steals and two three-pointers.

The 76ers pulled off one of the biggest comebacks in franchise history on Thursday, rallying from a 29-point deficit to win 114-106 in their home opener. Maxey was Philadelphia’s most consistent offensive player, and his defense on James Harden also played a role. Harden scored 10 points in the second half but also recorded more turnovers (four) than assists (two). If the first two games indicate what’s to come, Maxey will be the 76ers’ first offensive option. Given his first-round ADP, that’s great news for fantasy managers.

Brandin Podziemski (back) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Podziemski did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers, leading to De’Anthony Melton taking the starting spot. Melton played 21 minutes, while reserves Will Richard and Brandon Williams played 20 and 18 minutes, respectively. Expect a similar rotation if Podziemski can’t play on Friday.

Isaiah Stewart (ankle) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Warriors.

Stewart, injured during the preseason, did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz. Quinten Post logged 19 minutes off the bench as the backup center, and he’ll likely keep that role if Beef Stew can’t play on Friday.

Cedric Coward (wrist) is doubtful for Friday’s game against the Warriors.

Coward, who played 28 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz, is dealing with a sprained left wrist. With the doubtful tag, he’s more likely to miss Friday. If Coward sits, reserves like Scotty Pippen Jr. and Jerami Grant would get more offensive opportunities.

Bradley Beal (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Lakers.

Beal will miss a second straight game due to right knee injury management. Kobe Sanders and Gradey Dick played rotation minutes off the bench in Wednesday’s win over the Kings, with the latter scoring 12 points in 19 minutes. Look for more of the same on Friday night.

Charles Bassey (knee) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Bassey did not play in Wednesday’s opener against the Lakers, leaving the Warriors light on options at center. With Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) out indefinitely, Draymond Green may spend more time at center than head coach Steve Kerr would prefer. Al Horford can provide depth off the bench, but he’s unlikely to exceed 20 minutes.
