Zach Collins (quad) is probable for Friday’s game against the Bucks.

Expected to be limited to 12-16 minutes in his first game back from a strained right quad, Collins played just nine minutes in Wednesday’s blowout loss to the Raptors. The probable tag suggests he’ll be available Friday to back up Jalen Smith. Until he can play without restrictions, Collins is unlikely to get the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball.
Black, da Silva are possible Banchero replacements
With Paolo Banchero out for 4-6 weeks with an ankle injury, Eric Samulski says that Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva could see more minutes for the Magic and be positive additions for a fantasy roster.

Essengue sat out Saturday’s loss to the Wizards with a right-side head contusion. If he remains out, Zach Collins may retain the backup center role. Collins played 11 minutes on Saturday, which isn’t enough time to offer tangible fantasy value.
  • CHI Forward #2
A little over an hour after he was downgraded to questionable, Essengue is now out for Saturday’s game. His absence could lead to Zach Collins returning to the rotation after being a DNP-CD in Friday’s win over the Bucks.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12
Collins is available to play after being listed as probable on the initial injury report. Because of the time he missed during the preseason with the quad injury, he’ll likely be limited to 12-16 minutes. Collins played nine minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Raptors.
  • CHI Forward-Center #25
With Nic Claxton (hamstring) sidelined, Smith will serve as the Bulls’ starting center until he returns. “Stix” had a productive first half, scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds, but his production tailed off after halftime. Zach Collins (five rebounds), who played nine minutes, was reportedly limited to 12-16 minutes in his first game back from a quad injury. Smith played 19 minutes, partly because of the nature of the 135-92 defeat. He’s worth rostering in fantasy leagues while the Bulls await Claxton’s return.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12
Collins, who underwent toe surgery in February, is back after missing the preseason with a quad injury. He’ll add frontcourt depth as the Bulls continue without Nic Claxton (hamstring), but Jalen Smith should start at center. Collins will be limited to 12-16 minutes.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12
Collins was cleared for full contact this weekend and is now expected to be available for the season opener. With Nic Claxton (hamstring) sidelined, Collins will likely fill out the backup center minutes behind Jalen Smith.
  • CHI Center #9
Two days after reports surfaced that Claxton was ramping up his activity after injuring his hamstring early in the preseason, Bulls head coach Tiago Splitter said that the center will be out for another two weeks after being re-evaluated. Jalen Smith started most of the Bulls’ preseason games and should retain that role, increasing his fantasy value. Zach Collins (quad) was not restricted in Monday’s practice, setting him up to be available for Wednesday’s season opener against the Raptors.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12
Collins, who underwent season-ending toe surgery in February, did not play in any of the Bulls’ preseason games because of a quad injury. However, he has progressed in his recovery and is expected to be available for Wednesday’s season opener against the Raptors. With Nic Claxton (hamstring) still limited in practice, Collins should play rotation minutes. However, given the time missed, his minutes will likely be limited, meaning more playing time for expected starter Jalen Smith.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12
Collins has been sidelined since undergoing season-ending toe surgery in February. With Nic Claxton dealing with a hamstring injury, Collins could occupy some of the center minutes to start the season, likely behind Jalen Smith. However, “close” isn’t a clear enough timeline for fantasy managers to take action on a potential backup center.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12
Due to injuries, Collins appeared in just ten games last season before undergoing season-ending toe surgery just after the All-Star break. Unfortunately, while there have been flashes of the potential that led to him being the 10th overall pick in the 2017 draft, injuries have been a significant issue for the 6-foot-11 forward/center. Since the 2018-19 season, Collins surpassed 65 games played just once in the next seven seasons. Collins’ decision to remain in Chicago gives the Bulls added depth in the frontcourt, but his injury history makes him challenging to rely on in fantasy basketball.

Karim Lopez (knee) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Jazz.

Lopez missed Sunday’s game against the Kings and is seemingly on the wrong side of questionable for Monday’s tilt with the Jazz. His likely absence won’t impact fantasy basketball, however.

Isaiah Stewart (ankle) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Jazz.

Stewart is questionable for Monday’s game with an ankle injury. If he can’t play, Quinten Post could see more minutes off the bench, though he isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues.

Alpha Diallo (wrist, personal) is out for Monday’s game against the Warriors.

No surprise here as Diallo was initially listed as doubtful. With Cameron Johnson (ankle) doubtful, Trevon Brazile is the preferred streamer from the Nuggets’ bench.

Jaxson Hayes (shoulder) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Hayes is listed as questionable with shoulder soreness for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies. If he’s ruled out, Kyle Filipowski could see some bench minutes, but still isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues.

Nikola Topić (back) and Thomas Sorber (knee) are out for Monday’s game against the Suns.

Both Topić and Sorber are yet to appear in a game due to injuries. Neither is worth rostering outside of dynasty formats.

Oso Ighodaro (oblique) is out for Monday’s game against the Thunder.

No surprise here as Ighodaro was initially listed as doubtful and has since been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Thunder. Khaman Maluach started and had nine points and nine rebounds with Ighodaro out against the Warriors on Saturday. Maluach is likely to start again Monday.

Jaylin Williams (wrist) isn’t on the injury report ahead of Monday’s game against the Suns.

Williams played only five minutes in Sunday’s win over the Clippers before he left and didn’t return with a sore wrist. Off the injury report Monday, Williams should be more involved with Chet Holmgren (knee) ruled out.

Cason Wallace (shoulder) is out for Monday’s game against the Suns.

Wallace left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury and didn’t return. He’ll subsequently miss Monday’s game against the Bucks. Ajay Mitchell is certainly a candidate for more minutes and potentially a starting spot with Wallace sidelined.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Jalen Suggs (knee) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Suggs was diagnosed with a mild bone bruise in his right knee, according to Charania. He’ll be re-evaluated in two weeks. Suggs hyperextended his right knee and was helped to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Knicks. This is seems to be good news for Suggs, who appears to have avoided a more serious injury.

Chet Holmgren (knee) is out for Monday’s game against the Suns.

Holmgren is dealing with right patellar tendonitis. Isaiah Hartenstein stepped up with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the win over the Clippers Sunday while Holmgren had a relatively quiet game with 10 points and four rebounds. Hartenstein should see even more usage with Holmgren out Monday against the Suns.
