Wizards head coach Brian Keefe said Monday that AJ Dybantsa (ankle) is “progressing in a very positive way” and will do some more on-court work on Tuesday.

After spraining his left ankle in the Wizards’ preseason finale, Dybantsa has not made his official debut. He still doesn’t have a firm return timeline, but the rookie is making progress in his recovery. Keefe said it’s unclear whether Dybantsa will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Cavaliers, but he will do more on-court work on Tuesday. Bilal Coulibaly has replaced Dybantsa in the starting lineup, and that should remain the case until the rookie is cleared to play.

Jalen Smith finished with 13 points (6-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists and one three-pointers against the 76ers on Monday.

Smith played through a finger injury and remained in the starting role that he has held all season. This was a decent performance for him during what has been a strong start to the year. However, Nic Claxton (hamstring) is getting closer to making his debut for Chicago. When Claxton is healthy and up to speed, he’ll likely be this team’s starting center. Smith holds value as a temporary starter, but when Claxton returns, Smith’s value will take a big hit.

LaMelo Ball had 34 points (12-of-21 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, one steal and six three-pointers in the Timberwolves’ 112-100 victory over the Bucks on Monday.

Ball’s 34 points are the most he’s had in a game with the Timberwolves so far. With Anthony Edwards (knee) sidelined, the offensive burden undoubtedly falls on LaMelo. He’s due for some more performances like this one while Edwards remains out.

Josh Giddey posted a double-double on Monday with 13 points (5-of-15 FGs), four rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers against the 76ers.

Giddey’s scoring struggles continued in this game, but when he has played at least 25 minutes in a game this season, he has dished out at least 10 assists. That trend continued in this game, which ended up being one of his better performances this season. Giddey certainly hasn’t played to his ADP to this point of the year, but outings like this one will certainly help redeem his value.

Caleb Wilson led the Bulls with 24 points (9-of-17 FGs), seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and four three-pointers in a 126-107 loss to the 76ers on Monday.

Wilson continues to be the star of the show in Chicago, and it has worked out well in fantasy basketball. This was the first game he didn’t record at least one steal and one block, but he made up for it with a career high in steals. He has dished out exactly four assists and scored at least 20 points in three straight games, and he has scored fewer than 20 points in only two games. Plus, he has 13 triples over their last three games. The expectation was that he would be a fantasy stud, but his offensive production wasn’t supposed to be this good this quickly.

Brandon Miller had 17 points (7-of-18 FGs), one rebound, four assists and three three-pointers against the Pistons on Monday.

Miller had scored at least 24 points in four of his last five games entering play Monday. The Pistons held him in check and the Hornets lost by 33 at home. Charlotte will have a much easier test against the Nets on the road Wednesday.

Jay Huff led the Pacers with 22 points (8-of-14 FGs), eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks against the Hawks on Monday.

Huff has been filling in as the starting center for Indiana for the last few games, but that hasn’t always led to starter minutes. However, with only six available players for the Pacers in this game, Huff played a significant role. He started off hot, scoring 17 points in the first half, which helped him lead the team in scoring while setting a new season high for points. He’ll continue starting until Ivica Zubac (ankle) returns, which makes him an intriguing streaming option, even if he has struggled as a starter prior to this game.

Jalen Slawson posted a full line on Monday with 12 points (3-of-11 FGs), seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, three blocks and two three-pointers against the Hawks.

Slawson re-signed with Indiana on a two-way deal in July, and he has ended up being part of the Pacers’ rotation this season. However, his role expanded exponentially in this game due to them only having six available players. Slawson didn’t shoot the ball well, but he did a little bit of everything else in the box score. Slawson was productive in this game, but his role won’t typically be large enough for him to repeat it often.

Duncan Robinson had 24 points (8-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, three steals and six three-pointers against the Hornets on Monday.

Robinson isn’t going to regularly contribute much in the other categories, but he dropped 24 points and made six three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Hornets. He’ll continue to be a useful player on fantasy teams that need points and threes.

Braden Smith started on Monday and finished with 19 points (8-of-13 FGs), four rebounds, 10 assists, three steals, one block, two three-pointers and five turnovers in a 108-104 loss to the Hawks.

The Pacers only had six healthy players for this game, so everyone that was available played a ton of minutes. That allowed Smith to make the first start of his career, and he took full advantage. Most second-round picks don’t record double-doubles in their first starts, but the special circumstances allowed college basketball’s total assist leader from last season to do just that. Smith is a high-level passer, but he won’t be part of the Pacers’ rotation when the team is healthy. Depending on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s game, he could end up starting again.

Cade Cunningham had 33 points (13-of-20 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, five steals and four three-pointers in the Pistons’ 124-91 victory over the Hornets on Monday.

Cunningham has now recorded at least 30 points, at least five rebounds, at least seven assists, at least two steals and at least four three-pointers in two of his last three games. Due to his efficiency and five steals, Monday was the 25-year-old point guard’s best game of the young season so far. With Jalen Duren (hamstring) still sidelined, expect the Pistons to continue to lean on Cunningham even more than they usually do.
