The Heat signed second-round pick forward Da’Sean Butler on Monday.
He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in last year’s Final Four, or he would have been a much higher draft pick. Butler averaged 14.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.06 steals at West Virginia, but isn’t expected to do much for the Heat as a rookie.

Kelly Oubre had 18 points (6-of-14 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Suns.
Oubre’s had at least 15 points and at least three three-pointers in four of his last five games. The 30-year-old small forward doesn’t contribute much in the other categories, but he can deliver some points and threes. Oubre has returned 13th-round per game value over the last two weeks, according to Basketball Monster.
HLs: Castle explodes for 40-point triple-double
Watch highlights of San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle doing it all with a 40-point triple-double to defeat the Dallas Mavericks Saturday night.
  • PHI Guard #0
Tyrese Maxey had 29 points (8-of-21 FGs, 10-of-11 FTs), nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Suns.
Maxey was just one rebound and four assists shy of a triple-double on Saturday against the Suns. It was an emphatic win against a good team for the 76ers. The 25-year-old point guard has provided 13th-overall per game value over the past two weeks, according to Basketball Monster. The 76ers’ road trip continues against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
  • PHI Center-Forward #21
Joel Embiid had 33 points (9-of-19 FGs, 11-of-13 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, one block and four three-pointers in the 76ers’ 109-103 victory over the Suns on Saturday.
Embiid followed up his 35-point game against the Lakers on Thursday by dropping 33 points in the win over the Suns on Saturday. The 31-year-old center is looking like his old self these days. He’s returned first-round per game value over the last two weeks, according to Basketball Monster. The 76ers have two games upcoming in Week 17, starting with a matchup against the Trail Blazers on Monday.
  • Brandin Podziemski (illness) accounted for 14 points (6-of-15 FGs), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers.
Limited to 13 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Suns due to an illness, Podziemski played 33 off the bench on Saturday. The final stat line was solid, but most encouraging was the playing time. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, minutes should not be an issue for Podziemski as long as he’s healthy. So, fantasy managers who have rostered him for this long should continue to do so.
  • GSW Guard #61
Pat Spencer recorded 14 points (6-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers.
On the same day that he was upgraded to a standard contract, Spencer produced another solid effort for the Warriors. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, the Warriors’ guard has provided top-50 per-game value over the past week, according to Basketball Monster. At the very least, Spencer is worth rolling the dice on for the Warriors’ final two games before the All-Star break. Golden State plays four games total during Week 17.
  • GSW Forward #15
Gui Santos amassed 15 points (6-of-12 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers.
Santos extended his career-best run of double-figure scoring efforts to six straight on Saturday, as he continues to offer solid production. He’s been the starting lineup for the last three, filling the void left by Stephen Curry (knee). With Curry possibly missing the Warriors’ final two games before the All-Star break, adding Santos ahead of Monday’s game against the Grizzlies would be a good idea.
  • GSW Guard #4
Moses Moody accumulated 25 points (8-of-17 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, three steals, one block and five three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers.
Limited to six points in Thursday’s comeback win over the Suns, Moody was much better on Saturday. The 25 points were the most in a game for him since January 26, when he scored 26 in a win over the Jazz. While inconsistency can be an issue for Moody, he’s worth rostering in the short term as the Warriors await Stephen Curry’s return. The Warriors play two of their four Week 17 games before the All-Star break, and Curry may miss both, thus enhancing Moody’s fantasy value.
  • SAS Center-Forward #7
Luke Kennard recorded 10 points (4-of-7 FGs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Warriors.
Acquired from the Hawks for Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick, Kennard made his Lakers’ debut on Saturday. As expected, he was used in a reserve role, playing 26 minutes. Kennard isn’t at the point where he’s worth relying on in most fantasy leagues. But he’ll have every opportunity to change that, as the Lakers are looking to him to provide consistent perimeter shooting.
  • LAL Guard #15
Austin Reaves amassed 16 points (5-of-10 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one blocked shot in Saturday’s win over the Warriors.
Reaves’ minutes are still being restricted, and he played 24 on Saturday. That didn’t keep him from having a productive night off the bench, finishing with a stat line that only lacked a three-pointer. Counting Saturday, Reaves has recorded at least eight assists in ten of the 10 games he’s appeared in. With Luka Dončić sidelined, the Lakers will need a little more playmaking from Reaves, and he was up to the task against the Warriors.
  • LAL Forward #28
Rui Hachimura tallied 18 points (7-of-10 FGs), one rebound, one block and four three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Warriors.
With Austin Reaves still under a minutes restriction, Hachimura was JJ Redick’s choice to replace the injured Luka Dončić (hamstring) in the starting lineup on Saturday. He was effective as a scorer, shooting 70 percent from the field overall and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, fantasy managers didn’t receive much else from Hachimura. As long as Luka is out and Reaves’ minutes are restricted, Rui should remain in the starting lineup.
