Niang was sent from Utah to Memphis as part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade, but the Grizzlies won’t keep him around. The veteran forward will look to find a new team to join for the second half of the season, where he will likely end up as just a depth piece.

Dante made four appearances early in the season, but he tore his ACL and has already been ruled out for the rest of the season. Atlanta will clear out the roster spot, and Dante will look to find a new team in the offseason.

Utah acquired Boucher along with a 2027 second-round pick at the deadline, but it was never their intention to keep him around. They wanted the pick. Boucher will look for a new home, though there likely isn’t a place for him to be a large part of a rotation for any team.

This will be a third straight absence for Green, which means Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin will still play significant minutes. Green has only played a limited reserve role when available, so his immediate return won’t drastically alter the Suns’ rotation.

This was expected, and the veteran guard should be able to find a new team to join. There are rumors that he could return to Minnesota to finish out the season, but wherever he ends up, his role will be too limited to make a fantasy impact.

Brooklyn kept Thomas around on a one-year deal, but it appears they didn’t intend to sign him to a long-term deal. They weren’t able to move him at the deadline, so they’ll cut their losses two months early. Thomas will get a head start on finding a new team to join, and he should still be able to provide offense wherever he signs. However, the only path to fantasy production for him is if he signs with another rebuilding team. With Thomas gone, Drake Powell and Ben Saraf should see a few extra minutes consistently.

This is the third trade that Dieng has been involved in this deadline. He went from Oklahoma City to Charlotte to Chicago and now to Milwaukee. There likely isn’t enough time for another deal to happen, so hopefully he has a sense of clarity about where he’ll be headed. Dieng is a former lottery pick that is still only 22 years old, so he’s worth taking a chance on for the Bucks. He should see more minutes that he did in OKC, and as long as Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) remains out, he could end up taking on a significant role during silly season.

Richards was rerouted from Milwaukee after initially being traded from Phoenix. The initial trade was expanded to include Dieng, with the first deal sending Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis to the Bucks for Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey. Chicago traded Nikola Vucevic already, so Richards will be in the center rotation alongside Jalen Smith and Zach Collins. Smith should start, but he may not be the coveted option for the rest of the season that managers were hoping he would be if Richards takes away some of his minutes.

Branham was traded to Dallas as part of the Anthony Davis trade, but now he’ll be back in the Southeast division. Branham should be a solid depth scorer, though with Charlotte trying to push for the postseason, he likely won’t play enough minutes to make much of an impact.

Two players that have already been moved at this deadline will be swung once again. Jones will provide a veteran ball handler for a young team that has lacked a consistent option at point guard this season. Having Jones in the rotation will help Cooper Flagg’s development without resulting in extra wins. Jones could be a solid source of assists if he is able to playing at least 20 minutes per game, though he will likely come off the bench.
