  • LAC Point Guard #5

Bones Hyland (sprained left ankle) will not participate in Friday’s practice.
No surprise here, as Hyland injured his ankle during the third quarter of Thursday’s exhibition game against the Nuggets. X-rays on the backup point guard’s ankle came back negative, but he is to be further evaluated “in a few days.” Given that timeline, it’s possible that Hyland won’t be available for the Clippers’ regular season opener on Wednesday against Portland. If so, Terance Mann could be used on the ball more when starter Russell Westbrook is resting.
  • OKC Power Forward #10

Jaylin Williams (heel) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Williams has not appeared in a game since December 13, but that may change on Sunday. While his playing time is unlikely to affect fantasy basketball, JayWill gives Oklahoma City another option to call on in the frontcourt with Isaiah Hartenstein (calf) out.
Mannix: Trading for Morant comes with 'red flags'
Chris Mannix unpacks the reports of the Memphis Grizzlies being open to trade offers for Ja Morant, detailing which teams could be interested in getting the point guard but must also be aware of his "red flags."
  • OKC Guard #22
Cason Wallace (toe) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Wallace was one of multiple Thunder players who did not play in Friday’s win over the Grizzlies. His absence factored into Brooks Barnhizer playing eight minutes off the bench, while starter Aaron Wiggins logged 32. Wiggins recently replaced Wallace, who had been filling in for Isaiah Hartenstein, as the Thunder’s fifth starter.
  • OKC Center-Forward #7
Chet Holmgren (shins) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Holmgren is back after a one-game absence. Branden Carlson, who moved into the starting lineup for Friday’s win over the Grizzlies, will slip to the back end of the rotation.
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Gilgeous-Alexander is back after sitting out Friday’s comeback win over the Grizzlies. His return means that Ajay Mitchell heads to the bench, but the second-year guard is worth holding onto in deep leagues.
  • IND Guard #29
Andrew Nembhard, Quenton Jackson, Aaron Nesmith, Johnny Furphy and Pascal Siakam will start Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Nembhard is back after a one-game absence, but his return does not push Jackson to the bench. Instead, Jay Huff heads to the bench, with Siakam serving as a small-ball center. Huff will remain in the rotation, but his value takes a hit with the move to the bench.
  • MIA Guard #14
Davion Mitchell, Tyler Herro, Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo will start Saturday’s game against the Pacers.
Herro was supposed to start on Thursday against the Bulls, but the game was postponed due to condensation on the United Center floor. So, he’ll make his first start since returning from a toe injury on Saturday, with Kel’el Ware coming off the bench.
  • BOS Forward #30
Sam Hauser (hamstring) is out for Saturday’s game against the Spurs.
Absent from the Celtics’ initial injury report, Hauser will not play due to tightness in his right hamstring. With Josh Minott (ankle) also out, Jordan Walsh will likely move into the starting lineup, and Hugo González should pick up a few additional minutes off the bench.
  • CHA Guard #21
Pat Connaughton (illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Jazz.
A late addition to the Hornets’ injury report, Connaughton will not be available for Saturday’s game. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball or the Hornets’ rotation.
  • LAC Forward #2
Kawhi Leonard (ankle) is available for Saturday’s game against the Pistons.
For the third straight time, Leonard will be available for both games of a Clippers back-to-back. While Jordan Miller misses out on a chance to start, he may play a bit more if the Clippers look to manage Leonard’s playing time.
  • DET Forward-Center #28
Isaiah Stewart (illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Clippers.
Added to the Pistons’ injury report on Saturday morning, Stewart’s absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup. Paul Reed, who started alongside Beef Stew in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, will have solid streaming upside since Jalen Duren (ankle) is also out.
