Dereck Lively II (left ankle sprain) and Markieff Morris (illness) have been ruled out for Friday’s game against Portland.
Lively and Morris were initially questionable for Friday’s game, as was Luka Doncic. All three have since been ruled out. In the case of Lively, his absence frees up additional minutes for Dwight Powell, who will likely move into the starting lineup due to the absences. Morris being sidelined will not significantly impact fantasy basketball.

Draymond Green (back) is expected to be available for Saturday’s game against the Lakers.
Green, who sat out Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies due to a lower back issue, is on track to return Saturday night. According to Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr, the veteran forward participated in Friday’s practice. Green’s return would likely bump Al Horford to the bench, which lowers his fantasy ceiling.
Horry: NBA is about getting buckets, not just 3s
Robert Horry joins Dan Patrick to discuss his Hall of Fame case, why Scottie Pippen is the "ultimate" basketball player, the current construction of the Lakers, and if there's an overemphasis on the thre-pointer.
  • GSW Forward-Center #7
Kristaps Porziņģis (illness) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Lakers.
Porziņģis, who has appeared in one game since being traded to the Warriors, participated in Friday’s practice. With Draymond Green (back) on track to play Saturday night, Porziņģis’ return could bump Quinten Post out of the rotation entirely. That would not affect fantasy basketball, as Post has not been productive enough to merit being rostered.
  • HOU Forward #10
Jabari Smith Jr. (ankle) is out for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Smith rolled his right ankle late in Thursday’s win over the Magic and limped back to the locker room immediately. His absence on Saturday opens up a spot in the starting lineup, with Reed Sheppard and Josh Okogie being potential replacements. Sheppard, who’s worth rostering in fantasy leagues in his current reserve role, offers a higher ceiling.
  • FA Guard #50
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Suns have waived Cole Anthony.
Anthony logged 35 appearances for the Bucks but failed to see much court time before getting moved to Phoenix at the trade deadline. He never played for the Suns, and he’ll get an opportunity to join a new team for the rest of the season. Anthony showcased high upside as a microwave scorer, playmaker and solid rebounder at his position when given ample playing time in Orlando. He should draw interest from multiple teams.
  • PHX Guard #1
According to Suns reporter John Gambadoro, Devin Booker is progressing well from a hip strain and trending towards being back after Phoenix’s currenty four-day break.
The timeline means Booker will likely be back against the Kings on Tuesday or the Bulls on Thursday. With Dillon Brooks sidelined, Phoenix needs help on offense, and Booker’s return should help tremendously in that department. Booker’s return could mean fewer minutes for the likes of Collin Gillespie and Jamaree Bouyea.
  • BKN Power Forward
NBA Insider Michael Scotto reports that Grant Nelson has signed a 10-day contract with the Nets.
Nelson enjoyed a productive stint with Alabama to finish out the last two years of his college career, and he’s posted solid numbers for the Long Island Nets of the G League this season. He’ll get some run for the parent club down the stretch, and given Brooklyn’s record and incentive to play its young players, it wouldn’t be surprising if Nelson sees meaningful rotation minutes at some point before the 2025-26 campaign ends.
  • DAL Guard #31
Klay Thompson (rest) is doubtful for Friday’s matchup with the Grizzlies, and Caleb Martin (back) is questionable.
Dallas has a number of players on the injury report for the second leg of a back-to-back set. With Thompson and P.J. Washington (ankle) doubtful and Martin questionable, Naji Marshall, Max Christie and Khris Middleton could all be in line for additional run.
  • DAL Forward-Center #21
Daniel Gafford (ankle) is available for Friday’s matchup with the Grizzlies, and Marvin Bagley III (neck) is out.
Bagley III started Thursday’s matchup with the Kings while Gafford sat, and the pair of centers will swap availability for the second leg of Dallas’ back-to-back set. Expect Gafford to see plenty of run with Bagley III ruled out and P.J. Washington (ankle) listed as doubtful.
  • DAL Forward #25
P.J. Washington (ankle) is doubtful for Friday’s matchup with the Grizzlies.
Washington sprained his left ankle on Tuesday, and the injury cost him Thursday’s game against Sacramento. He’ll likely miss one more game, which should mean additional run for Khris Middleton.
  • CLE Forward-Center #32
Dean Wade (ankle) is doubtful for Friday’s matchup with the Pistons.
Wade sustained the ankle injury in Wednesday’s loss to Milwaukee, and it will likely cost him at least one game. His absence should mean additional run for Jaylon Tyson.
