Moritz Wagner (knee) remains out indefinitely as he recovers from the ACL tear he suffered in December.
While the Magic may be able to get Jalen Suggs back from his knee injury by opening night, Wagner is “further away” in his recovery process, according to general manager Jeff Weltman. Wagner suffered a torn left ACL just before Christmas, leaving the Magic light on post depth. Starter Wendell Carter Jr. and backup Goga Bitadze are healthy going into training camp, and the Magic added Orlando Robinson on a two-way contract. Wagner was not going to be a draftable player in most fantasy leagues if healthy, but there may have been moments when he offered streaming value based on Carter’s injury history.

Michael Porter Jr. went off for a season-high 34 points (11-of-18 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), nine rebounds and seven assists
Highlights: Fox's big night leads Spurs past Kings
De'Aaron Fox dropped a season-high 28 points while Keldon Johnson and Luke Kornet contributed double-doubles as the Spurs rolled to a home win over DeMar DeRozan and the Kings.
  • WAS Guard #3
CJ McCollum tallied 17 points (6-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, three assists and two steals over 32 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Nets.
  • WAS Forward #18
Kyshawn George recorded 29 points (9-of-16 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), six rebounds and five assists over 31 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Nets.
  • BKN Center #33
Nic Claxton accumulated 17 points (5-of-7 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), nine rebounds, seven assists and four blocks over 30 minutes during Sunday’s win over the Wizards.
  • PHX Forward #0
Devin Booker, Dillon Brooks, Ryan Dunn, Royce O’Neale and Mark Williams will start Sunday’s game against the Hawks.
Williams is back after sitting out Phoenix’s win over the Pacers on Thursday, which pushes Nick Richards to the bench. The other change of note is Dunn, who steps into the spot left vacant by the injured Grayson Allen. While his offensive ceiling is limited, Dunn’s defensive ability makes him worth a look in deep leagues.
  • PHI Guard #20
Jared McCain (thumb) is available for Monday’s game against the Clippers.
McCain was assigned to the 76ers’ G League affiliate on Thursday to play in two games for conditioning reasons. He’s back with the 76ers and will be available for Monday’s game. McCain may still be on a minutes restriction as he continues to work his way back from knee and thumb injuries.
  • OKC Power Forward #10
Jaylin Williams (shoulder) is available for Monday’s game against the Pelicans.
Williams is off the injury report after a sore left shoulder sidelined him for Saturday’s win over the Hornets. He’ll provide depth behind Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein, which is not a good place to be in terms of fantasy potential.
  • SAS Guard #4
De’Aron Fox accumulated a game-high 28 points (11-of-20 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 34 minutes to lead the Spurs to a 123-110 win over the Kings.
Fox orchestrated a balanced offensive attack for San Antonio, handing out a season-high 11 assists against his former team to help seven different Spurs reach double figures while Victor Wembanyama (calf) was sidelined. The 27-year-old upper-echelon facilitator has averaged 22 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and one steal over five games since making his season debut on November 8. The Spurs have a three-game week coming up with matchups against the Grizzlies, Hawks and Suns.
  • SAC Guard-Forward #10
DeMar DeRozan amassed 27 points (12-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Sunday’s loss to the Spurs.
It was more of the same from DeRozan in this one as 14 of his 15 shot attempts came from inside the three-point line as the Kings dropped their sixth consecutive game despite San Antonio missing superstar Victor Wembanyama (calf). The 36-year-old veteran remains an efficient scorer, but doesn’t offer much else for fantasy purposes at this stage of his career. The Kings are on the road for three challenging games against the Thunder, Grizzlies and Nuggets this upcoming week.
  • SAS Center-Forward #7
Luke Kornet accumulated 13 points (5-of-5 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 27 minutes during Sunday’s win over the Kings.
Kornet drew the starting assignment at center with Victor Wembanyama sidelined due to left calf tightness and wound up delivering his second double-double of the season while logging his most minutes since October 24. The 30-year-old big man carries legitimate streaming appeal in fantasy formats whenever Wembanyama sits, as he’s capable of chipping in on the glass and offers surprising offensive touch as a rim-runner and interior finisher.
