Darius Garland totaled 18 points (6-of-17 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, six assists and two steals on Friday in the win over the Wizards.
Garland was as efficient as one could be inside the arc, shooting 6-of-6 on two-point shots, but his 0-of-11 shooting from deep left him completely unimpactful from behind the line. Yet, even with the shooting struggles, Garland was one of the Cavaliers’ highest scorers on the evening and concluded with a share of the most assists. Surely, fantasy managers will want more production from Garland going forward, but they must remain patient in the early stages of the season as he continues to work his way back from offseason toe surgery.

Kyshawn George produced 23 points (9-of-13 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, one block and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Raptors.

  • ATL Forward-Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu recorded 12 points (5-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
  • ATL Forward #1
Jalen Johnson amassed 24 points (10-of-17 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), nine rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Friday’s loss to the Heat.
  • ATL Guard #11
Trae Young finished Friday’s loss to the Heat with 30 points (8-of-16 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and five three-pointers.
  • MIA Guard #9
Pelle Larsson (ankle) accounted for 21 points (9-of-13 FGs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Hawks.
  • MIA Center #7
Kel’el Ware amassed 16 points (7-of-10 FGs), 13 rebounds, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Hawks.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell finished Friday’s win over the Hawks with 25 points (9-of-16 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers.
  • UTA Forward-Center #23
Keyonte George, Svi Mykhailiuk, Ace Bailey, Lauri Markkanen, and Jusuf Nurkić will start Friday’s game against the Pistons.
There are two changes to the lineup that began Tuesday’s loss to the Grizzlies. Markkanen and Nurkić are back after not playing against Memphis, with Kevin Love and Kyle Filipowski heading to the bench. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Filipowski is worth rostering, and his value should only increase once the “silly season” begins.
  • POR Forward #24
Kris Murray (neck) is active for Friday’s game against the Clippers.
After going from questionable to probable ahead of Friday’s game, Murray’s recent upgrade to available should come as no surprise. The fourth-year forward tied a season high in points the last time he took the floor, and will enter Friday’s contest with a bit of momentum. Despite the strong recent performance, Murray is not someone fantasy managers should consider to be rosterable at the moment. He’ll likely remain in Portland’s starting lineup against the Clippers.
  • POR Center-Forward #35
Robert Williams (knee) is available for Friday’s game against the Clippers.
Williams is good to go after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Magic, which was Portland’s second game in as many nights. His return means fewer minutes for Yang Hansen and Duop Reath, as the Time Lord will slot in as Donovan Clingan’s backup.
