Deandre Ayton amassed 20 points (10-of-11 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), 13 rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot in Sunday’s win over the Suns.
Ayton finished Sunday’s victory with his tenth double-double of the season, halfway to his total for the entire 2024-25 campaign. So far, the move to Los Angeles has gone well for the 7-footer, who has been close to a top-50 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. As long as Ayton remains healthy, he’s well-positioned to offer reliable fantasy value.

Anthony Edwards (shoulder) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Nets.
Edwards tweaked his right shoulder during Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets but remained in the game. His availability may affect Mike Conley’s (rest), who is also questionable. If Edwards can play, don’t be surprised if Conley gets the night off. If he can’t, there’s a good chance that Conley will be the replacement in the starting lineup.
Grading every NBA Christmas Day matchup
Numbers on the Board hands out their grades for Christmas Day's slate of NBA games, analyzing the Knicks' comeback over the Cavs, Nikola Jokic's takeover, and JJ Redick's comments on the Lakers.
  • MIN Guard-Forward #1
Terrence Shannon Jr. (foot) is out for Saturday’s game against the Nets.
Shannon’s left foot strain sidelined him late in Thursday’s overtime loss to the Nuggets, and he’ll miss at least one complete game. More minutes will be available to Bones Hyland and Jaylen Clark in Shannon’s absence.
  • SAS Guard #4
De’Aaron Fox (adductor) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Jazz.
Fox is dealing with tightness in his left adductor. If he’s unable to play, Dylan Harper and Julian Champagnie are potential replacements in the starting lineup. While Harper boasts a higher long-term ceiling, fantasy managers needing three-pointers should not sleep on Champagnie if he starts.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (illness) is active for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Grimes is back after a one-game absence. He’ll likely come off the bench and bolster a Sixers reserve unit that features several quality players. Grimes is averaging 15.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game, but has been limited to 11 total points over his last two appearances. He’ll have a chance to put up stronger numbers in Friday’s contest.
  • PHI Forward #25
Dominick Barlow (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Barlow is back after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Bulls. His return means that Jabari Walker will head back to the bench, and there’s no need to consider rostering him with Barlow back in the lineup.
  • PHI Guard #77
VJ Edgecombe (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Edgecombe was upgraded from questionable to probable earlier Friday, so he was on track to return after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the Nets. The rookie’s return will push Jared McCain to the bench, where he offers limited fantasy value.
  • BKN Guard-Forward #4
Drake Powell (ankle) is not on the injury report for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Powell injured his right ankle during a December 18 loss to the Heat and has missed Brooklyn’s last two games. His return will coincide with Cam Thomas’s, so the rookie’s opportunities may be limited. Powell is unlikely to affect fantasy basketball.
  • CHI Forward #44
Patrick Williams (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the 76ers.
A late addition to the Bulls’ injury report, Williams will be available on Friday. However, his production has not been consistent enough to affect fantasy basketball, regardless of league size. Leave Williams on the waiver wire.
  • WAS Guard-Forward #9
Justin Champagnie (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the Raptors.
Champagnie is officially available after being listed as questionable earlier Friday. While Corey Kispert is out, the Wizards are otherwise relatively healthy on the wings, which limits Champagnie’s opportunities. There’s no need to roster him in most leagues.
  • Collin Murray-Boyles (illness) is active for Friday’s game against the Wizards.
After being listed as questionable, Murray was upgraded to active ahead of Friday’s matchup, giving the Raptors a key rotation forward. The rookie has started four of 26 games thus far and is averaging 7.0 points and 3.8 rebounds, and is coming off of his first-career NBA double-double. With Scottie Barnes (illness) also available, Murray-Boyles will likely remain in a reserve role.
