The news come out of left field, and Haynes notes that JJJ underwent surgery after a localized PVNS growth was discovered post trade. Fantasy managers should have already planned for him to miss fourth quarters, but now he’ll be totally unavailable. With Jackson Jr. sidelined and Utah already in active tank mode, it won’t be long before other starters begin to get shut down. “Silly season” heroes will emerge from this rotation, and some of the best are Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabaugh, Isaiah Collier and Vince Williams Jr.

Williams will miss a second straight game after initially being listed as questionable for this one. However, when he has been available, he has yet to see the floor this season, so his continued absence won’t alter Chicago’s rotation.

Essengue is good to go after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Wizards. His return could mean Zach Collins loses out on playing time after logging 11 minutes the last time out. Neither player should be rostered in redraft leagues.

Joe exited early on Sunday, and there is a chance that hip injury keeps him sidelined against New York. Kevin Huerter played 25 minutes off the bench against Philadelphia following Joe’s early exit and should see a minutes boost once again if Joe remains out.

Alvarado will miss a second straight game, which means the backup point guard minutes will go to Miles McBride and Tyler Kolek. McBride played 13 minutes in Sunday’s loss and wasn’t able to provide much value, while Kolek dished out nine assists in 15 minutes. Kolek should be the better streaming option, though only for managers in deep leagues who are desperate for some dimes.

Brown sat out against the Pacers on Sunday, which was the second night of a back-to-back. They’ll continue to be cautious with his ankle injury, which means he will likely remain on a minutes restriction against Boston. They have another back-to-back this weekend, so expect Brown to sit one of those games.

Thompson missed Sunday’s game against the 76ers after injuring his ankle on Friday. Daniss Jenkins replaced him in the starting lineup, with Ron Holland II and Javonte Green taking on larger roles off the bench. The rotation would likely be similar if Ausar remains out, with Jenkins being the preferred streaming option.

Lopez missed Sunday’s game against the Kings and is seemingly on the wrong side of questionable for Monday’s tilt with the Jazz. His likely absence won’t impact fantasy basketball, however.

Stewart is questionable for Monday’s game with an ankle injury. If he can’t play, Quinten Post could see more minutes off the bench, though he isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues.

No surprise here as Diallo was initially listed as doubtful. With Cameron Johnson (ankle) doubtful, Trevon Brazile is the preferred streamer from the Nuggets’ bench.

Hayes is listed as questionable with shoulder soreness for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies. If he’s ruled out, Kyle Filipowski could see some bench minutes, but still isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues.
