Anthony Edwards tallied 40 points (16-of-30 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, one steal and five three-pointers in Friday’s win over the Mavericks.
Edwards put on a show on Friday, making it eight games this season with 40 points or more. As has been the case for most of this season, Ant-Man was at his best when the Timberwolves needed him most, shooting 6-of-8 from the field in the fourth quarter. Edwards and the Timberwolves play one more game in Week 17, as they host the 76ers on Sunday.

Myles Turner (calf) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Turner has been dealing with a calf injury since before the All-Star break. The injury has lingered and cost the 29-year-old center Friday’s game against the Pelicans already. Turner’s status is up in the air, though he has a chance to return Sunday given his questionable listing. Ousmane Dieng would start for Turner if he’s out again and is worth streaming under those circumstances.
HLs: Edwards torches Mavericks, scores 40 points
Anthony Edwards returned to Minnesota with his All-Star Game MVP award and scored 40 points to help the Timberwolves beat Dallas 122-111. Edwards, who has eight 40-point games this season, had 14 in the fourth quarter.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (back) is out for Saturday’s game against the Suns.
Suggs was initially listed as questionable with back spasms, but has since been ruled out. With the 24-year-old point guard sidelined and Anthony Black already in the starting lineup, Tristan da Silva should move into the starting lineup and is worth streaming.
  • MIN Center #27
Rudy Gobert has been suspended one game for accruing his seventh flagrant foul point.
Gobert was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul for an “unnecessary flail” during Friday’s win over the Mavericks. The NBA announced Saturday that the foul was upheld and thus Gobert has been suspended one game without pay for accruing his seventh flagrant foul point of the regular season. The 33-year-old center will serve his suspension Sunday against the 76ers. Naz Reid or Joan Beringer could move into the starting lineup in Gobert’s absence. While Reid has fantasy value either way, Beringer is only relevant if he’s starting.
  • PHX Forward #19
Haywood Highsmith (knee) will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks.
Highsmith signed a multiyear deal with the Suns earlier this week. The 29-year-old hasn’t played at all this season after offseason knee surgery. Highsmith will continue the rehabilitation process for two to three more weeks, at which point he’ll be re-evaluated.
  • PHX Guard #1
Devin Booker (hip) will be re-evaluated in one week.
Booker sustained a right hip strain during Thursday’s loss to the Spurs and will miss one week, at which point he’ll be re-evaluated. With Booker sidelined, Jordan Goodwin could move into the starting lineup.
  • DET Forward #35
Tolu Smith (knee) is available for Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
Smith played 18 minutes off the bench in Thursday’s win over the Knicks as he served as Paul Reed’s backup with Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart suspended. With Duren’s suspension over now, Smith will likely fall out of the Pistons’ usual rotation.
  • MEM Forward-Guard #5
Kyle Anderson (knee) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Anderson will continue to have an increased role with Santi Aldama (knee) out, but only if he’s available himself. The 32-year-old forward is questionable with a knee injury of his own. Anderson is only worth streaming in deeper formats if he’s starting.
  • MEM Guard #4
Walter Clayton Jr. (calf) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Clayton has missed the last three games with a right calf contusion. He at least has a chance to return Saturday given his questionable listing. Cam Spencer and Javon Small could see more minutes if Clayton is out again, though neither are worth streaming in most fantasy leagues.
  • MEM Guard #23
Cedric Coward (knee) is out for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Coward hurt his knee in the Grizzlies’ last game before the All-Star break and ended up missing Friday’s game against the Jazz with the same injury. The team is holding the 22-year-old guard out again Saturday. Taylor Hendricks started and had nine points and nine rebounds in Coward’s absence Friday.
  • MEM Forward-Center #7
Santi Aldama (knee) is out for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Aldama is still dealing with right knee injury management, which has resulted in him appearing in one game over the last three weeks. Lawson Lovering started and had 11 points and 11 rebounds against the Jazz Friday in Aldama’s absence.
