Bennedict Mathurin logged 38 points (12-of-22 FGs, 12-of-13 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Nuggets.

Mathurin made quite the impression on Clippers fans in his home debut on Thursday, exploding for nearly 40 points off the bench while coming up big down the stretch to help secure victory. He shot very efficiently along the way to tying a career-high in points, and was great at the free-throw line as well. Mathurin also chipped in on the glass and tallied a few steals on the defensive end to round out what was a really good performance from him. He’ll take the floor again against the Lakers on Friday on the second game of a back-to-back.
Payton Pritchard

BOS Guard #11

Payton Pritchard amassed 26 points (10-of-18 FGs), six rebounds, seven assists, one steal and six three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.

Pritchard continues to put up excellent offensive numbers since being moved to the bench. The Celtics guard has scored at least 24 points in five of the six games he’s played since the lineup change, providing third-round per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats during this stretch, according to Basketball Monster. Pritchard is already rostered in 95 percent of Yahoo! leagues, so there’s no need to scour the waiver wire in most leagues. Those who have him should keep the guard, as he has the potential to be a difference-maker in the fantasy playoffs.
Jaylen Brown

BOS Guard-Forward #7

Jaylen Brown finished Thursday’s win over the Warriors with 23 points (10-of-18 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 15 rebounds and 13 assists.

Brown finished Thursday’s victory with his third triple-double of the season and fifth of his career. While there weren’t any defensive stats or three-pointers, that isn’t a major concern when he put up a career-high assist tally. What many expected to be a “gap year” for the Celtics has been anything but, with the team boasting the second-best record in the East. And Brown has been the focal point due to Jayson Tatum’s Achilles tendon injury.
Jalen Brunson

NYK Guard #11

Jalen Brunson finished Thursday’s loss to the Pistons with 33 points (12-of-20 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists, two steals and three three-pointers.

While Brunson shot the ball far better on Thursday than he did in either of the Knicks’ first two losses to the Pistons, that doesn’t tell the entire story. The efficient scoring wasn’t matched in the playmaking department, as Brunson was responsible for six of the Knicks’ 12 turnovers. While the Knicks won’t have to see the Pistons again during the regular season, how they lost the three meetings is a concern should the teams meet in the playoffs.
Cade Cunningham

DET Guard #2

Cade Cunningham had 42 points (17-of-34 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), eight rebounds, 13 assists, one steal, two blocks and five three-pointers in the Pistons’ 126-111 victory over the Knicks on Thursday.

With Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart suspended, the Pistons entered Madison Square Garden as underdogs Thursday night. Shorthanded or otherwise, Cunningham proceeded to carry Detroit to a 15-point victory, its third of the season over the Knicks. The 24-year-old point guard was aggressive and never let up, dropping 42 points and 13 assists on New York in the process. He’s provided second-round per game value this season, according to Basketball Monster.
Jarace Walker

IND Forward #5

Jarace Walker finished Thursday’s loss to the Wizards with 21 points (6-of-16 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), 14 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one three-pointer.

While Andrew Nembhard (5/1/4 with one three-pointer) was available for Thursday’s game, he logged 22 minutes and wasn’t on the court down the stretch. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle put the ball in Walker’s hands for longer stretches, and while he was responsible for five turnovers, the third-year forward recorded one of his best stat lines of the season. And with Pascal Siakam (personal) already ruled out for Friday’s rematch, Walker is worth rostering.
Jarrett Allen

CLE Center #31

Jarrett Allen amassed 15 points (5-of-8 FGs, 5-of-10 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in Thursday’s win over the Nets.

For the first time since the Cavaliers acquired James Harden, both of their talented post players were in the starting lineup. The good news for Allen managers is that Evan Mobley’s return didn’t keep the center from recording a double-double with three “stocks.” The sample size is just one game against an overmatched opponent, but it bodes well for those hoping to get consistent value from Allen in the fantasy playoffs.
Kristaps Porziņģis

GSW Forward-Center #7

Kristaps Porziņǵis (Achilles) is available for Thursday’s game against the Celtics.

Porziņǵis is officially available to make his Warriors’ debut on Thursday, and this will be his first game action since January 7. Not only will Porziņǵis come off the bench in his first appearance for the team, but he will be under a minutes restriction. Quinten Post may eventually lose out on playing time, but Porziņǵis’ restriction may keep the second-year center in the rotation for the time being.
Aaron Nesmith

IND Guard-Forward #23

Aaron Nesmith (ankle) will not return to Thursday’s game against the Wizards.

Nesmith suffered a sprained right ankle during the first half of Thursday’s game and was ruled out during the halftime break. He finished with three points, two rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes. Kobe Brown started the third quarter for Nesmith, and he may be the starter for Friday’s rematch as well.
Jalen Green

PHX Guard #4

Collin Gillespie, Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Royce O’Neale and Mark Williams will start Thursday’s game against the Spurs.

The Suns are without Dillon Brooks, who’s serving a one-game suspension after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season during the team’s final game before the All-Star break. As a result, Green will make his third start of the season and first since November 8.
