Murray missed the Pelicans’ two most recent games, but has the possibility of taking the floor on Tuesday. The Pelicans have lost eight consecutive games and own one of the worst records in the league. Should Murray return, he’ll provide efficient scoring and solid work as both a passer and rebounder.

Trey Murphy (ankle) has been ruled out against the Jazz on Tuesday.

Murphy will miss a second straight game, which should lead to another start for Yves Missi. He played 40 minutes on Sunday and contributed 18 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in the loss to Orlando. Missi should be a priority streaming option.

Karlo Matković (back) is questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. the Jazz.

Matković has missed the Pelicans’ last three games but has a chance to take the floor Tuesday, as reflected in his status. The second-year forward has mostly filled a reserve role for New Orleans, posting averages of 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds. Derik Queen’s opportunities should increase if Matković remains sidelined.

Jeremiah Fears finished Sunday’s loss to the Magic with 19 points (4-of-14 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), three rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers.

Fears did not have a good night shooting the basketball, finishing 2-of-7 from both inside and outside of the three-point arc. But the rookie did record a complete stat line, and the turnover count of three could have been much worse. Dejounte Murray (hand) being out the last two games has freed up additional opportunities for Fears, which the Pelicans hope will pay dividends down the line. New Orleans plays three games in Week 24, and Fears should continue to log heavy minutes.
Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson accumulated 17 points (5-of-11 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists and one blocked shot in Sunday’s loss to the Magic.

Williamson’s final line was adequate, but most fantasy managers who roster the forward expect more. He was more productive on Sunday than in Friday’s loss to the Kings, but the biggest positive regarding Williamson this season has been his availability. The 62 games he’s played in are the second-most in a season in Zion’s career, trailing only 2023-24 70. The improved availability may push Williamson up some draft boards next fall, but many fantasy managers will remain skeptical.
Yves Missi

Yves Missi accounted for 18 points (8-of-9 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), 13 rebounds, three assists and four blocks in Sunday’s loss to the Magic.

A starter in four of the Pelicans’ last five games, Missi recorded his fifth double-double of the season and first since March 19. Injuries to Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy have freed up minutes and a place in the starting lineup for the 6-foot-11 center, and he’s done some good things as a finisher and a defender. Missi’s fantasy outlook in 2026-27 depends on what the Pelicans decide to do at center. If they continue to go small when everyone’s healthy, Missi won’t have as high a ceiling.
Saddiq Bey

Saddiq Bey amassed 32 points (10-of-24 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, two steals and three three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Magic.

Bey has scored 30 points or more in five games this season, with Sunday’s effort being his first since February 26. The Pelicans’ forward had eight games of 30 or more in his first four NBA seasons combined. Bey has been excellent more often than not in his first season in New Orleans, emerging as a reliable option as the franchise continues its rebuild. For fantasy managers whose leagues run through Week 24, the Pelicans play three games.

Jeremiah Fears, Herb Jones, Saddiq Bey, Zion Williamson and Yves Missi will start Sunday’s game against the Magic.

The Pelicans won’t have Dejounte Murray or Trey Murphy for Sunday’s game. As a result, Fears and Missi move into the starting lineup.
