The release of NBA 2K16 is a month out, and player ratings are starting to trickle out. Something that should get everybody talking is Kobe Bryant’s rating, which is an 85 out of 100, the lowest of his career:

CBSSports.com points out that this is only his second time being rated below a 90 — he was rated an 89 last season and was rated no lower than 97 every year between 2006 and 2011. At the time, when Bryant was arguably the best player in the league, those ratings were appropriate. Now? At age 37, coming off three consecutive season-ending injuries, 85 sounds about right.
