Anthony Black (quad) finished Thursday’s win over the Mavericks with eight points (3-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Having returned to the Magic lineup after missing two games with a quad injury, Black logged 24 minutes against Dallas. The guard did struggle with his shot, missing all three of his three-point attempts and shooting 3-of-9 from two. However, Black provided some value in the assist and steal categories, so all wasn’t lost for fantasy managers who have him rostered.
Tristan da Silva

ORL Forward #23

Tristan da Silva recorded 19 points (7-of-7 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, three steals and four three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Mavericks.

While Anthony Black’s return from a quad injury pushed him to the bench on Thursday, that didn’t prevent da Silva from having one of his best offensive performances of the season. The second-year forward didn’t miss a shot, including a 4-of-4 night from beyond the arc. Add in the assists and steals, and this was a good night for those who held onto da Silva in their fantasy leagues.
Paolo Banchero

Paolo Banchero finished Thursday’s win over the Mavericks with 16 points (7-of-17 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals and one three-pointer.

Banchero has now recorded four double-doubles since the All-Star break, and he was also responsible for solid numbers in the assist and steal categories on Thursday. Generally speaking, the Magic forward has been a better option in points leagues than category leagues. However, since the break, Banchero has provided top-50 value in nine-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster.
Jalen Suggs

ORL Guard #4

Jalen Suggs amassed 17 points (6-of-14 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and four three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Mavericks.

With the Magic on the verge of suffering a disappointing home defeat, Suggs came through with two huge plays in the final minute. After hitting a three-pointer with 32.2 seconds remaining to pull Orlando to within one, Suggs found Wendell Carter Jr. for the game-winning dunk with 1.4 seconds remaining. The Magic guard’s availability to fill a stat line makes him a valuable player in category leagues, even with his shooting 43.2 percent from the field this season.
Jonathan Isaac

Jonathan Isaac (knee) is out for Thursday’s game against the Mavericks.

Isaac will not be available for Thursday’s game due to a sore left knee, freeing a few minutes on the back end of the Magic’s frontcourt rotation. Goga Bitadze may pick up a few more minutes, but he isn’t worth the risk in most fantasy leagues.

WCJ will be back after missing Tuesday’s game against Washington. Goga Bitadze started that game in his place, but he’ll likely be pushed back out of the rotation entirely with Carter returning.

Black is available after missing Orlando’s last two games. As a result of his return, Tristan da Silva will head to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a hit.

Wendell Carter Jr. (ankle) is questionable to play against the Mavericks on Thursday.

Carter was a late scratch against Washington on Tuesday and could remain out for another game. Goga Bitadze started in his place, but he wasn’t productive during his 21 minutes on the floor. Bitadze’s streaming upside will be limited if Carter remains out.

Black has missed Orlando’s last two games, which has allowed Tristan da Silva to start in his stead. If he returns to take on Dallas, da Silva will return to playing a role off the bench. He has started the last six games for Orlando due to Jalen Suggs’ absence as well, and he has averaged 11.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game during this stretch.
Desmond Bane

Desmond Bane lit up the Wizards with 25 points (7-of-10 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), two rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers on Tuesday.

This was the ninth time in Bane’s last 11 games that he scored at least 20 points, and during that stretch, he has shot at least 60 percent from the floor seven times. He has shot 54.9 percent from the floor over the past two months, which is a huge improvement over his 48.4 percent shooting from last season and his 48.6 percent shooting over the course of this year. He has been huge in keeping Orlando afloat without Franz Wagner, and he’ll continue to be a fantasy stud.
