Bulls guarantee 26-27 salary for Leonard Miller

According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, the Bulls have guaranteed Leonard Miller’s contract for the 2026-27 season.

Three days after it was reported that the Bulls picked up Miller’s contract option for next season, they have now fully guaranteed it. A double-digit scorer in 17 of his final 18 games, the 2023 second-round pick averaged 11.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 three-pointers per game after joining the Bulls as part of the trade that sent Ayo Dosunmu to Minnesota. While the contract does give Miller some security, his chances of affecting fantasy basketball aren’t great after the Bulls used one of their two first-round picks on Caleb Wilson in the draft.

Spotrac’s Keith Smith reports that the Bulls have exercised Leonard Miller’s option for the 2026-27 season.

Acquired from the Timberwolves as part of the Ayo Dosunmu trade at the February deadline, Miller averaged 11.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 three-pointers in 27 appearances for the Bulls. He had a promising end to the season, hitting double figures in scoring in 17 of his final 18 games. During that run, Miller averaged 14.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 three-pointers while shooting 54.6 percent from the field. With the Bulls selecting Caleb Wilson and Dailyn Swain in the first round of last week’s draft, Miller’s path to fantasy relevance to begin next season is not great.

However, his solid play since being traded to Chicago may help solidify his future, whether it’s in the Windy City or elsewhere. Miller has a team option for the 2026-27 season, and he would be a low-cost option to help fill out the roster if the Bulls decide to pick it up.

On a two-way deal, his availability this upcoming season may be spotty, but he may have some stretches as a valuable streaming option if he gets the minutes.

The Kings’ first-round pick last month certainly wasn’t afraid to let it fly in his debut for the team. Acuff showcased plenty of offensive ability during his freshman season at Arkansas, and while he didn’t get many assists in this game, he did have one to Nique Clifford with just five seconds left to win the game. Acuff is a talented offensive player, and if he continues to have this type of mentality, he’ll put up gaudy numbers as a rookie, even if they come inefficiently.

He should once again play a major role for the Nets this upcoming season.
