Bennett Stirtz tallied 18 points (7-of-14 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in Friday’s loss to the Lakers.

After struggling from deep for most of Oklahoma City’s three games in Salt Lake City, Stirtz was a solid 3-of-8 from beyond the arc on Friday. The four turnovers weren’t great, but he generally took good care of the basketball as a collegian, so there isn’t much to worry about there. Given Oklahoma City’s perimeter depth, they won’t have to ask too much of Stirtz immediately. As a result, he’s likely to be more valuable in dynasty leagues than redraft leagues.

Bennett Stirtz accumulated 22 points (8-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers in Tuesday’s loss to the Nuggets.

Coming off a 13-point effort in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Warriors, Stirtz had his best game of the summer on Tuesday. The 16th overall pick in last month’s draft shot 50 percent from the field, including a 6-of-10 night from inside the arc. Stirtz committed four turnovers, but the Thunder were likely encouraged by his overall performance. Given Oklahoma City’s perimeter depth, achieving fantasy relevance as a rookie will be challenging for Stirtz. However, he has the scoring and playmaking ability needed to compete for a bench role when training camp opens in the fall.

Bennett Stirtz notched nine points (4-of-14 FGs), two rebounds, three assists and one three-pointer in Monday’s loss to the Hawks.

After attempting six shots in his first summer appearance with the Thunder, Stirtz was more aggressive on Monday. Unfortunately, he shot 1-of-7 from beyond the arc in a rather forgettable effort. His chances of offering any fantasy value next season depend on injuries to Thunder guards ahead of him in the rotation. If Nikola Topić continues to struggle with health issues, that may be where Stirtz’s minutes come from during his rookie campaign.

Bennett Stirtz finished with 10 points (3-of-6 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals and two three-pointers against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Stirtz didn’t have a standout debut for OKC, but he had some fun flashes and showcased why the Thunder traded up to get him. As an older rookie, he should be ready to contribute from day one as a shooter and playmaker, and he was also able to force some turnovers in the loss. Stirtz won’t pop in fantasy in year one, but he should be a reliable ball handler for them at times.

Grizzlies selected Bennett Stirtz with the No. 16 pick in the NBA Draft.

The one constant throughout Stirtz’s college career was his head coach, Ben McCollum. The talented guard played two seasons for McCollum at Northwest Missouri State before both moved to Drake ahead of the 2024-25 season, and then onto Iowa. Last season, Stirtz averaged 19.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.5 three-pointers, shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 84.8 percent from the foul line. In addition to being one of the best shooters in this class, Stirtz is a capable playmaker. He’ll provide additional perimeter depth in Oklahoma City, which gave up the No. 17 pick and two future second-round picks to get the deal done. However, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander running the show, Stirtz’s fantasy ceiling in redraft leagues will be limited.

HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reports that the Hawks signed Jalen Wilson to a two-way contract.

The 51st overall pick in the 2023 draft, Wilson spent three seasons in Brooklyn before becoming a free agent this summer. The 6-foot-6 wing appeared in 55 games in 2025-26, averaging 6.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15.9 minutes. Wilson fills Atlanta’s third two-way contract slot, joining Keshon Gilbert and RayJ Dennis. He is unlikely to get the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball, especially after the Hawks acquired Luguentz Dort from Oklahoma City.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Lakers signed Arthur Kaluma to a two-way contract.

Kaluma spent his first professional season with the Lakers’ G League affiliate after going undrafted in the 2025 draft. A solid season with South Bay was followed by a good showing this summer with the Lakers’ summer league team, which led to Monday’s transaction. Kaluma’s addition to the roster won’t affect fantasy basketball, but the two-way deal gives him a little more security as training camp approaches. The Lakers already had three players on two-way deals, so Kaluma’s addition will come at the expense of Chris Mañon, AK Okereke or Peter Suder.

Mavericks signed Jett Howard to a two-way contract.

Not long after the Mavericks waived forward Tyler Smith, opening up a two-way contract slot, the franchise filled the vacancy by signing Howard. The 11th overall pick in the 2023 draft, Howard failed to earn consistent rotation minutes in his three seasons with the Magic. He appeared in 55 games last season, averaging 5.5 points and 1.6 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. Howard shot the ball reasonably well from beyond the arc, making 37.2 percent of his attempts. He joins John Poulakidis and Tobi Lawal as two-way contract players on the Mavericks roster.

The 54th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Peter was on a two-way deal with the Pacers as a rookie. Indiana’s many injuries factored into the guard appearing in 38 games, and he averaged 4.5 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12.9 minutes. Monday’s transaction will free up a two-way slot for the Pacers, who now have Ethan Thompson and Kobe Brown signed to such deals.

The 6-foot-9 forward played 12 games for the Mavericks last season, averaging 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13.8 minutes. Smith’s exit frees up a two-way contract slot for the Mavericks, who currently have John Poulakidis and Tobi Lawal under such contracts.

Coward was, again, one of Memphis’ top performers on Sunday. He struggled inside the arc but was lethal from beyond it, draining all five of his three-point attempts before finishing tied for a team-high 19 points. The second-year guard also fared well on the glass and as a facilitator in the loss. If he can increase his three-point efficiency and take a step forward as a passer, he should be in for a good sophomore season as it pertains to fantasy basketball.
