Bogoljub Marković hits four triples, scores 16

The 13th overall pick in last month’s draft, Ament did not play in any of Milwaukee’s California Classic games as his contract was being finalized. Having last appeared in a competitive game during the Elite 8, he looked a bit rusty, shooting 0-of-3 from beyond the arc. While fellow lottery pick Brayden Burries was selected three spots higher, Ament’s path to rotation minutes may be clearer since Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis were traded to Miami. However, he has a lot of developing to do, making Ament a more valuable option for dynasty leagues than redraft leagues.

While he didn’t shoot the ball as well as he did on Saturday, Marković once again did a little bit of everything on Monday. He was active on the boards and as a playmaker while also recording four defensive contributions. Given the Bucks’ decision to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo, Marković should have every opportunity to crack the rotation after being stashed overseas last season. He may not be a must-draft player in standard leagues, but managers in deeper formats should track Marković’s play throughout the summer and preseason.

The Bucks selected Marković with the 47th pick last summer but stashed him overseas for a season. He appeared in five summer league games, so this wasn’t his first time putting on a jersey for the Bucks, but it was encouraging to see his growth ahead of his first NBA season. Marković has a chance to be a rotation player for Milwaukee this season.

The 47th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Marković remained overseas with Mega Basket for the 2025-26 campaign. He had an excellent season, averaging 18.2 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists, going on to win Adriatic Basketball Association MVP honors. With Myles Turner on the roster and the Bucks acquiring Kel’el Ware in the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, Marković will face significant competition for rotation minutes when training camp opens in the fall.

With there being some comparisons between him and Kevin Durant during his prep career, it’s unsurprising that Ament spent his lone college season playing for Rick Barnes, who coached KD at Texas. There were bouts with inconsistency, the 6-foot-10, 211-pound freshman finished with averages of 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 29.7 minutes, shooting 39.9 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from three and 79.0 percent from the foul line. Ament will have plenty of time to grow as the Bucks prepare to start what should be a lengthy rebuild. He boasts plenty of talent, but the lack of production at Tennessee means he’ll likely take some time to develop. He may not provide much for fantasy managers in year one, but he’s worth stashing in dynasty formats.

After offering little production in his first two appearances of the summer, Marković looked far more comfortable on Sunday. The second-round pick out of Serbia shot 50 percent from the field and finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. On draft night, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reported that Marković is expected to play overseas next season, so the performances in Las Vegas are unlikely to have much of an impact. And being stashed overseas likely guarantees Marković will receive ample game reps, which would not happen in Milwaukee.

Marković played last season with Mega Basket in Serbia, where the 6'11, 190-pound F/C averaged 14 points, 2.6 assists, 1.7 “stocks,” 2.8 triples and seven rebounds. He’s got handles, can shoot efficiently, play defense and create his own shot. He shined in international play at the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers and the U18 FIBA European Championship. Marković has all of the skills needed to be a quality option at the next level, but his slender frame could hold him back at the next level. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reports Marković will be stashed overseas next season. He only needs to be considered in dynasty leagues for the moment.
