Bucks selected Bogoljub Marković with the No. 47 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Marković played last season with Mega Basket in Serbia, where the 6'11, 190-pound F/C averaged 14 points, 2.6 assists, 1.7 “stocks,” 2.8 triples and seven rebounds. He’s got handles, can shoot efficiently, play defense and create his own shot. He shined in international play at the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers and the U18 FIBA European Championship. Marković has all of the skills needed to be a quality option at the next level, but his slender frame could hold him back at the next level. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reports Marković will be stashed overseas next season. He only needs to be considered in dynasty leagues for the moment.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Bucks waived Kevin Porter Jr.

To clear a roster spot and finalize their roster for the upcoming season, the Bucks waived Porter, addressing the perimeter logjam. Injuries limited him to 38 games last season, but KPJ was productive when he played. He averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.2 three-pointers per game in 2025-26. It wouldn’t be surprising if he were claimed off waivers, with the Kings being a team to watch after Ben Simmons suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on Sunday.
Wallace's starting role boosts fantasy value
Eric Samulski explains why Cason Wallace’s move into the Thunder starting lineup, elite steal totals and ability to shoot from deep make him a player to watch in fantasy basketball this season.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Lakers have waived Dalton Knecht.

The 17th overall pick in the 2024 draft, Knecht was the subject of trade rumors ahead of the Lakers’ decision to waive him. The former Tennessee standout had his moments, most notably scoring a career-high 37 points against the Jazz during his rookie season. However, Knecht was inconsistent offensively and didn’t bring much defensively, ultimately leading the Lakers to move on and finalize their roster for the 2026-27 season. Managers in dynasty leagues rostering Knecht should not rush to drop him, as he could catch on with another team on a two-way contract.

Dejounte Murray (toe) has been a full participant in recent practices and will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.

Murray suffered a bruised toe during the preseason, which sidelined him for a few practices. However, the swelling has since gone down, allowing the veteran point guard to practice without issue. He’ll return to his usual starting point guard role, with Jeremiah Fears as the backup.

Stephen Curry (ankle) participated in Monday’s practice and is expected to be available for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.

Curry appeared to suffer a lower-body injury during Sunday’s open practice, with some speculating that the veteran guard injured his knee. However, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said afterward that Curry’s ankle was the issue, but there was little concern. Curry practiced on Monday and is expected to play in Wednesday’s season opener, which is great news for managers rostering him.

Brandin Podziemski (back) did not participate in Monday’s practice.

This has been a bad 24 hours for the Warriors, who saw Stephen Curry suffer an ankle injury during Sunday’s open practice. Podziemski is dealing with a sore lower back, casting some doubt on his availability for Wednesday’s season opener against the Lakers. If he can’t play, De’Anthony Melton takes on added importance within the Warriors’ rotation.

Devin Carter (illness) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.

Carter, who has mononucleosis, is the only Celtics player on the injury report for Tuesday’s season opener. His absence won’t affect fantasy basketball.

    Suns waived Koby Brea.

Hours after reports emerged that the Suns would waive Brea, the team made it official. With CJ Huntley also being waived, the Suns have two open two-way contract slots. With Mark Williams injured, one of those contracts will go to Duop Reath, who was in training camp on an Exhibit 10 deal.

Arizona Sports 98.7’s John Gambadoro reports that the Suns waived CJ Huntley.

Not selected in the 2025 draft, Huntley agreed to a two-way contract with the Suns in late June. His being waived won’t affect fantasy basketball, as Huntley was expected to spend most of his first pro season in the G League.

Nic Claxton (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Two days after reports surfaced that Claxton was ramping up his activity after injuring his hamstring early in the preseason, Bulls head coach Tiago Splitter said that the center will be out for another two weeks after being re-evaluated. Jalen Smith started most of the Bulls’ preseason games and should retain that role, increasing his fantasy value. Zach Collins (quad) was not restricted in Monday’s practice, setting him up to be available for Wednesday’s season opener against the Raptors.

NBA insider Marc Stein reports that the Grizzlies are actively looking to trade Walter Clayton Jr.

The Grizzlies are among the teams still finalizing their Opening Night rosters ahead of Monday’s 5 PM Eastern cutdown deadline. As a result, Clayton is on the trade block, with Sacramento reportedly as a possible destination. With Ben Simmons (Achilles) suffering an injury expected to be season-ending during Sunday’s practice, Clayton may have room at the back end of the Kings’ roster. Wherever he is after the 5 PM deadline, Clayton’s status will be more impactful in dynasty leagues than redraft leagues.
