Brayden Burries recorded 16 points (5-of-13 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), five rebounds, one assist and two steals in Wednesday’s exhibition against the Thunder.

The Bucks did not play multiple veteran guards, including Kevin Porter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. on Wednesday. As a result, experienced an uptick in playing time after logging 16 minutes in his preseason debut against the Timberwolves. The lottery pick out of Arizona missed all four of his three-point attempts, but he was active defensively and shot over 50 percent from two. Given the number of guards on the Bucks’ roster, Burries may not offer much value in redraft leagues early on. However, as the Eastern Conference gets stronger and the Bucks no longer have Giannis Antetokounmpo, the rookie’s value could increase later in the season.
Wallace's starting role boosts fantasy value
Eric Samulski explains why Cason Wallace’s move into the Thunder starting lineup, elite steal totals and ability to shoot from deep make him a player to watch in fantasy basketball this season.

Tobias Harris (calf) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Thunder.

Harris did not play at all during the preseason, and his strained left calf will delay his official Spurs debut for at least one game. Julian Champagnie, who was moved to the bench for Dylan Harper, and Harrison Barnes likely benefit the most from Harris’ absence in terms of playing time.

Dominick Barlow (back) and Tacko Fall (hip) are out for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.

Neither Barlow nor Fall practiced on Monday, so the injury statuses are unsurprising. However, Barlow is now out with a stress reaction in his lower back, not the soreness he initially reported. Barlow should be considered out indefinitely until the 76ers provide a timeline.

Taurean Prince (personal) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Celtics.

While Prince’s availability won’t significantly impact fantasy basketball, it does factor into the Pistons’ wing rotation. There’s no need to consider rostering the veteran forward when the Pistons are otherwise healthy.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Hornets and Brandon Miller have agreed to a five-year, $209 million extension.

Miller’s future in Charlotte is set, as he’s agreed to a rookie-scale extension worth more than $40 million per year. With the offseason decision to trade LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, the franchise has moved forward with Miller and Kon Knueppel as cornerstones. Miller appeared in 65 games last season, averaging 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.1 three-pointers per game.

Dean Wade (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.

Wade was limited to individual work in Monday’s practice, but he could play in Tuesday’s season opener. If he plays, Jabari Walker may get fewer minutes. However, with Adem Bona (foot) also questionable, Walker may play rotation minutes at center instead of power forward.

Adem Bona (foot) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.

Bona missed the entire preseason with a sprained left foot, but he could be available for Tuesday’s season opener. While his availability doesn’t affect fantasy basketball, it will factor into how the 76ers handle the back end of their rotation. Jabari Walker may be asked to play some minutes at center, especially with Dominick Barlow and Ariel Hukportin unavailable.

Anfernee Simons (hamstring) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.

Simons missed the entire preseason with a left hamstring injury, but he recently resumed practicing. If he can play, Simons will provide perimeter depth off the bench. If he can’t, then Kentavious Caldwell-Pope may absorb the minutes that would have gone to Simons.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Bucks waived Kevin Porter Jr.

To clear a roster spot and finalize their roster for the upcoming season, the Bucks waived Porter, addressing the perimeter logjam. Injuries limited him to 38 games last season, but KPJ was productive when he played. He averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.2 three-pointers per game in 2025-26. It wouldn’t be surprising if he were claimed off waivers, with the Kings being a team to watch after Ben Simmons suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on Sunday.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Lakers have waived Dalton Knecht.

The 17th overall pick in the 2024 draft, Knecht was the subject of trade rumors ahead of the Lakers’ decision to waive him. The former Tennessee standout had his moments, most notably scoring a career-high 37 points against the Jazz during his rookie season. However, Knecht was inconsistent offensively and didn’t bring much defensively, ultimately leading the Lakers to move on and finalize their roster for the 2026-27 season. Managers in dynasty leagues rostering Knecht should not rush to drop him, as he could catch on with another team on a two-way contract.

Dejounte Murray (toe) has been a full participant in recent practices and will be available for Wednesday’s game against the Pacers.

Murray suffered a bruised toe during the preseason, which sidelined him for a few practices. However, the swelling has since gone down, allowing the veteran point guard to practice without issue. He’ll return to his usual starting point guard role, with Jeremiah Fears as the backup.
