The Pacers’ starters sat out after halftime of Friday’s exhibition, with head coach Rick Carlisle viewing the first half as a dress rehearsal for the regular season. Siakam looked sharp, knocking down 80 percent of his shots in 21 minutes. With Tyrese Haliburton back, the floor opens up for other Pacers mainstays, including Siakam. After his fantasy value took a hit last season while Haliburton recovered from a ruptured Achilles tendon, look for “Spicy P” to bounce back in a big way in 2026-27.

Siakam had a career-high 24 points per game last year, which was understandable with Tyrese Haliburton on the shelf with a torn Achilles. Siakam leading the Pacers with 30 points in Haliburton’s first game back is bullish for his fantasy value. Haliburton’s return just opened up the floor even more for Siakam, who took 23 attempts from the field. If this continues, Siakam could set a new career-high scoring average this year.

Pascal Siakam finished Saturday’s exhibition against the Hawks with 13 points (3-of-7 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one three-pointer.

Shut down for Indiana’s final five games of the 2025-26 campaign, Siakam has been a full go during the preseason. He is one of a few Pacers whose fantasy value should increase with Tyrese Haliburton’s return from a ruptured Achilles tendon. Siakam averaged a career-high 24.0 points per game last season, but the Pacers’ many injuries (including his) negatively impacted the veteran forward’s efficiency. Don’t be surprised if Spicy P bounces back in a major way this season.

Both players will be out for another game, and Jalen Slawson could take on additional minutes. Kobe Brown (back) is questionable, and if he’s available, he could be in line for an expanded role.

Thursday’s game will be the third that Siakam has missed, and the sixth straight on the sidelines for Nesmith. Jalen Slawson may benefit the most regarding playing time, as Kobe Brown and Jarace Walker are considered questionable for Thursday night.

Siakam will remain out for a second straight game, with Jalen Slawson replacing him as a starter on Sunday. Slawson scored 19 points in 33 minutes on Sunday and should play a similar role against Minnesota.

Siakam suffered back and ankle injuries during Friday’s loss to the Hornets, but it’s the latter that will keep him out of Sunday’s game. As for Nesmith, he will miss a fourth consecutive contest. Ben Sheppard started on Friday but is questionable with a strained hip. If he can’t play, the Pacers may turn to Ethan Thompson to fill in for Nesmith.

Pascal Siakam (back) finished Friday’s loss to the Hornets with 30 points (13-of-24 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and two three-pointers.

Siakam had an excellent night individually, even with the premature ending. The Pacers’ forward exited with 3:48 remaining in the fourth quarter due to a bruised lower back and did not return. He played 34 minutes on Friday, an encouraging sign with the Pacers headed for the draft lottery. Indiana visits Cleveland on Sunday; fantasy managers will hope to get another game out of Siakam.

Siakam is good to go for Friday’s game, but this does not mean that he’s a look to play starters’ minutes. While productive in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, Spicy P logged 22 minutes because of the nature of the game. Hopefully, if Friday’s game remains competitive throughout, Siakam will be able to hit 30 minutes.

Pascal Siakam (knee) and Obi Toppin (foot) are probable for Friday’s game against the Hornets.

Siakam and Toppin were also probable ahead of Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, a game in which the two logged 22 and 11 minutes, respectively. They’ll likely take on similar workloads on Friday. While Siakam can still be rostered in fantasy leagues under those circumstances, Toppin cannot.

Pascal Siakam added 25 points (11-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, five assists and one three-pointer in the win over the Bulls on Wednesday.

Despite previously being questionable with a knee issue, Siakam played and was arguably the most productive player on the floor on Wednesday. A one-sided affair limited the former Most Improved Player to just 22 minutes of game play. However, even in his limited action, he led the Pacers in scoring and was one of the team’s top facilitators. Siakam should remain a productive player so long as he takes the floor for this injury-hit Indiana team with one of the worst records in the NBA. Fantasy managers should expect more production from him on Friday against the Hornets.

Not only did Herro lead the Bucks in shots for the second consecutive game, he took twice as many field goal attempts as any of his teammates against the Bulls. Despite the high usage, Herro only had one turnover, which is important for his value in nine-category leagues. If he can continue to control his turnover total, Herro could be in line for the best fantasy season of his career.

Miller only played 23 minutes off the bench in this one as Caleb Wilson and Norman Powell were the only Bulls to play at least 30 minutes. Still, it’s impossible to ignore Miller’s production after an impressive preseason and the first two games of the regular season. He’s scored in double figures in both games despite minutes totals in the low-20s. Miller probably needs more minutes to be fantasy-relevant, but at some point he could force his way into a more prominent role in the rotation.

After Wilson’s inauspicious debut Wednesday that included 33.3 percent shooting from the field and nine turnovers, the 20-year-old forward bounced back nicely in the second game of his NBA career. He was 7-of-14 from the field (50 percent), scored 21 points and had just three turnovers. Wilson will have ups and downs in his career and there will certainly be more bumps in the road during his rookie season, but this was undoubtedly a promising performance.

Despite Grayson Allen having a real good game on Wednesday, Sion James is still the starter for this game. Given that Sion did start 19 games last year, it seems like he will stay in the starting lineup until players return to help balance out the starters. Grayson Allen can still be rostered in some spots until players start getting back, but he’ll be a streamer in most cases.

Powell was the Bulls’ leading scorer in the victory over the Bucks on Wednesday. While he had 25 points, Powell’s typically excellent shooting from behind the three-point line was noticeably absent. The 33-year-old shooting guard went 2-of-12 from behind the arc and is now 4-of-18 (22.2 percent) from long distance this season. Powell is a career 39.6 percent three-point shooter and should have better shooting games in his future as he’s due for positive regression.
