Arizona Sports 98.7’s John Gambadoro reports that the Suns signed Drew Timme to a two-way contract.

Not long after the Timberwolves waived him, Timme has reportedly found a new home. The former Gonzaga center, who appeared in 27 games for the Lakers last season, will give the Suns another frontcourt option. Projected starting center Mark Williams suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder in September and is expected to be out until sometime in February at the earliest.
HLs: Tatum leads Celtics past resilient Knicks
The New York Knicks closed the gap against Boston in the second half, but a clutch performance down the stretch by Jayson Tatum and a 36-point day staved off the defending champs for the Celtics' first win of the year.

Zach LaVine with 22 points (6-of-15 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, an assist, two steals, a block, and three 3-pointers on Friday.

This is basically what you signed up for when you took Zach LaVine in the later rounds of redraft leagues and you should be pretty happy after this performance. Getting to the line seven times and hitting all seven is really good. You obviously wish for him to be a bit more efficient from the field, but is really hard to complain getting that scoring.

Amen Thompson had 20 points (9-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and one three-pointer against the Spurs on Friday.

Thompson filled the stat sheet and had an excellent game for fantasy purposes against the Spurs. He also had the play of the game as he blocked an attempt from Victor Wembanyama in the final seconds to seal the win for the Rockets. Houston is 2-0 heading into Saturday night’s road game against the Hawks.

Darius Acuff puts up 33 points (10-of-26 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, and two threes in 128-120 loss to the Blazers.

The first thing you will see with Acuff is the points and get very excited. Then as you look at the rest of the stats, its pretty empty. He did get to the line 12 times and hit 11 which really should help your FT% category. While he did score a lot, especially in the second half when he got rolling, he will need to be better on the peripheral stats if he’s going to be a good category league player. He will have many more performances like this one later in the season.

Collin Sexton finished Friday’s win over the Clippers with five points (2-of-6 FGs), one rebound, two assists, three steals and one three-pointer.

Given the lack of on-ball playmakers on the Lakers’ bench, Sexton’s role could be an important one as he gets acclimated to his new team. While Luka Dončić or Austin Reaves was on the floor for every minute of Friday’s win, Sexton was asked to initiate the offense on some possessions. The numbers weren’t great, but the role may be one in which Sexton can offer late-round fantasy value in deep leagues. He isn’t a must-add, but placing him on watch lists, especially in deep leagues, wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Alperen Şengün had 29 points (10-of-20 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, seven assists, one block and two three-pointers in Friday’s 114-110 victory over the Spurs.

Şengün was the player of the game in the win over the Spurs Friday. He played excellent defense, had a 29/7/7 line and had clutch baskets down the stretch. Considering he was going up against Victor Wembanyama for most of the game, it doesn’t get much better than this for Şengün. He’s off to a great start to the season after a down-year for him last season.

Domantas Sabonis with a monster 27 points (10-of-13 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), nineteen rebounds, ten assists, a block and a three in 128-120 loss to the Blazers.

An absolute crazy from Sabonis who looks to be a great fantasy player for the rest of the season. An underrated part of the offseason was the departure of DeMar DeRozan, who really impacted Sabonis and his production when he got to Sacramento. With him gone, Domantas will be in line for some great fantasy production and will likely have several more triple doubles this season.

Ace Bailey scored six points (2-of-8 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, and a three in 21 minutes against the Pelicans.

Ace ended up playing similar minutes and Jaxson Hayes ended up closing the game over him. Even though it wasn’t the most efficient night, what I liked most about tonight is how he crashed the glass and didn’t play selfishly. During the summer, he really put in the work and its starting show how much better he got over the summer. If you own Ace in dynasty leagues, you should be excited about what you’ve seen despite the bad shooting. He’s a better shooter than he showed today.

Darryn Peterson scores 15 points (6-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds and a three in 30 minutes.

After a rough debut, Darryn was more aggressive with his shot and played better. However, the rest of his game was rather empty. He will need to be better than that, and he will in time. For now, unless you need some scoring, there’s not a ton of reasons to have him other than a streamer in most redraft leagues.

Jaxson Hayes had 17 points (7-of-8 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 25 minutes.

After a bad outing against the Grizzlies, he was much better in this game, especially in the second half. They kept him to close the game; he got several lobs and played good defense. He’s useful as a streamer until Jusuf Nurkic comes back but expect that there will be games where he starts and doesn’t do very much.

Keyonte George had 19 points (6-of-12 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), a rebound, ten assists, a steal, and three 3-pointers in wins against Pelicans.

Keyonte George was much better as a facilitator in this game which allowed players like Lauri to get better looks. He makes a lot of momentum gaining three pointers. Keyonte’s production has not dipped with the arrival of Darryn Peterson, and fantasy owners should be happy with that.
