Malik Monk (ankle) is questionable to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Monk is managing a left ankle injury, but if he suits up, he should see plenty of time as the backup point guard. If he isn’t able to suit up, rookie Emanuel Sharp could end up taking on a larger role off the bench, though he won’t be worth streaming in.

Jaren Jackson in Memphis return with 15 points (6-of-10 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, a steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers.

Jaren Jackson didn’t have the best game on his first return to Memphis. He got into fouled out, and the Grizzlies were not scared of him on the court. He had 5 turnovers, which hurts that category for managers. While the stat line is not amazing, he wasn’t that good on the court. They took advantage of the lack of physicality relentlessly in this game.

Norman Powell accounted for 15 points (3-of-9 FGs, 7-of-11 FTs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Raptors.

Powell’s first official appearance as a Bull did not go as planned, as Chicago was on the wrong end of a 135-92 thrashing. Also, only Matas Buzelis (eight attempts) took fewer shots than Powell among the Bulls starters. Given his role, Powell offers solid fantasy upside, but managers must remember that this season in Chicago is about developing young players like Buzelis and lottery pick Caleb Wilson.

Lauri Markkanen in 36 minutes with 18 points (4-of-13 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), 9 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and a three in 123-103 loss to Memphis.

Lauri did not have an efficient night tonight, but he got 10 free throws and 9 rebounds. He was a -2 in a 20 point loss. He will be better than he was in this game. Don’t worry about the inefficiency. Lauri will have an opportunity to bounce back on Friday against the Pelicans.

Julius Randle had 33 points (11-of-18 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and three three-pointers in Wednesday’s game against the Hornets.

If Randle’s Nets debut was any indication, the 31-year-old forward might be in line for one of the best statistical seasons of his career. No one else on the Nets scored in double figures besides Randle and Porter Jr., but the two of them combined for 59 points with Randle providing 33 of those. He played 37 minutes and was two rebounds and three assists away from a triple-double. While Randle might not turn the Nets into a winning team, he could turn a lot of fantasy teams into winners if this production keeps up.

Jalen Smith recorded 15 points (5-of-10 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in Wednesday’s loss to the Raptors.

With Nic Claxton (hamstring) sidelined, Smith will serve as the Bulls’ starting center until he returns. “Stix” had a productive first half, scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds, but his production tailed off after halftime. Zach Collins (five rebounds), who played nine minutes, was reportedly limited to 12-16 minutes in his first game back from a quad injury. Smith played 19 minutes, partly because of the nature of the 135-92 defeat. He’s worth rostering in fantasy leagues while the Bulls await Claxton’s return.

Zach Edey with 6 points (3-of-5 FGs), 8 rebounds, and two blocks in 19 minutes.

The Grizzlies didn’t need Edey to play heavy minutes in this game to get the win. The Grizzlies have a couple of capable backup centers with Isaiah Stewart and Quentin Post. Given Edey’s injury history, it’s very possible that Edey doesn’t get heavy minutes this season, so the fantasy upside is more limited.

Cedric Coward had 7 points (3-of-6 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists, a block, and a three.

It wasn’t the best outing for Coward who had five fouls in this game. He was being drafted in the 80’s and through the 90’s in redraft leagues. Obviously, you would want more at that price point, but it didn’t happen tonight. He’ll have his next opportunity against the Warriors on Friday.

Brandon Miller had 18 points (7-of-21 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, one assist, one block and three three-pointers agains the Nets on Wednesday.

Miller had 18 points, but struggled with efficiency as he was 7-of-21 from the field and 3-of-14 from behind the three-point line. There will be better games in his future, but with Kon Knueppel and Coby White sidelined defenses will be continue to key on Miller.

RJ Barrett amassed 20 points (8-of-14 FGs, 4-of-7 FTs), four rebounds and three assists in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls.

After scoring six points on 3-of-8 shooting in the first half, Barrett scored 10 in the third quarter alone. He shot well on Wednesday, making just over half his shots, and he also posted solid rebound and assist numbers. Most encouraging were the 14 shots, possibly a sign that Barrett’s volume won’t suffer much with Kawhi Leonard back in Toronto. Barrett has long offered better value in points leagues than category leagues, and that’s unlikely to change in 2026-27.

Cam Boozer puts up 7 points (2-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in NBA debut.

Do not panic about the inefficient shooting. He will not shoot 13% from the field for the rest of his career. However, we saw why many fantasy managers were very excited to have him. He got 10 rebounds and 5 assists despite the bad shooting. If he made five more of those shots, it would be an incredible stat line.
