De’Aaron Fox (wrist) questionable vs. Houston

De’Aaron Fox (wrist) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Rockets.

Fox, who played 32 minutes in Tuesday’s season-opening loss to the Thunder, is dealing with a sprained right wrist. If there’s a silver lining to the injury, it’s that he shoots left-handed. If Fox can’t play on Friday, Julian Champagnie could move into the starting lineup after playing 30 minutes off the bench on Tuesday.
Injury-riddled Nuggets no match for Warriors
Vaughn Dalzell and Drew Dinsick make a case for why the Denver Nuggets' injuries are too much to overpower the Golden State Warriors and why the warriors are the right pick.

Cooper Flagg (shoulder) participated in shootaround ahead of Monday’s game against the Heat.

Flagg is still listed as questionable for the matchup against the Heat, but seems to be trending in the right direction. He left Friday’s game against the Pacers with a shoulder injury and subsequently missed Saturday’s game against the Spurs. If Flagg returns Monday, he’ll replace Zaccharie Risacher in the starting lineup after only missing one game.

Naz Reid (illness) is probable for Monday’s game against the Wizards.

Reid popped up on the injury report as probable with an illness, but he’s still likely to suit up against the Wizards Monday. After three games with the Hornets, Reid is averaging 20.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 4.0 threes.

Precious Achiuwa tallied 12 points (6-of-13 FGs, 0-of-6 FTs), 10 rebounds, two steals and three blocks in Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies.

The Kings were without Keegan Murray (ankle) for Sunday’s game, so Achiuwa made a spot start. While his foul shooting was a disaster, the positives outweighed that negative in terms of the Kings forward’s production. Achiuwa played 39 minutes against the Grizzlies and recorded a double-double with five “stocks.” Sacramento plays three games in Week 2, starting with the Spurs on Tuesday, and Achiuwa would be a worthwhile pickup if Murray remains out.

Darius Acuff Jr. finished Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies with 22 points (9-of-23 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, seven assists, one block and two three-pointers.

After totaling seven assists in his first two games, Acuff matched that number on Sunday. The field-goal percentage wasn’t the best, but the points and assists were encouraging. Tuesday’s matchup with the Spurs will be challenging, given how good their young guards are offensively. It will be fun to see how Acuff takes on that test in the first of three games the Kings will play in Week 2.

Zach LaVine accounted for 37 points (13-of-25 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies.

After scoring 50 points in Sacramento’s first two games, LaVine recorded his first 30-point game of the season on Sunday. He was efficient, shooting 52 percent from the field. Sunday’s performance was an excellent way for LaVine to end Week 1, as the Kings begin a three-game Week 2 in San Antonio on Tuesday.

Isaiah Stewart tallied 13 points (4-of-8 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Kings.

The Grizzlies gave Zach Edey the night off, so Beef Stew was inserted into the starting lineup. Stewart’s value was his defense and three-point shooting, but he played just 22 minutes. He missed most of the preseason with a sprained ankle, which likely factored into his playing time. Edey should be back for Monday’s game against the Jazz, which would push Stewart to the bench.

Cedric Coward (wrist) tallied 15 points (6-of-11 FGs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Kings.

Coward returned to the Grizzlies’ starting lineup after missing Friday’s win over the Warriors, leading to GG Jackson heading to the bench and playing just 10 minutes. Coward recorded a double-double and played 32 minutes. As long as his wrist doesn’t give him trouble, Coward should provide reliable fantasy value, especially in category leagues.

Ty Jerome amassed 31 points (8-of-17 FGs, 14-of-14 FTs), four rebounds, six assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Sunday’s win over the Kings.

For those who believed Jerome would cool off after scoring 73 points in the Grizzlies’ first two games, that didn’t happen on Sunday. He did most of his damage inside the arc, making 7 of 11 two-point attempts and shooting 14-for-14 from the foul line. Add in the assists, and it was another excellent night for those rostering Jerome, one of the best players in fantasy basketball so far. The Grizzlies play three games in Week 2, starting with the Jazz on Monday.

Jaylen Brown accounted for 16 points (5-of-20 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one block and two three-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Pistons.

After a strong start in his first three appearances for the 76ers, Brown cooled off on Sunday. He shot 3-of-14 from inside the arc against the Pistons, and many of those misses came in the paint. There’s no need to lose any sleep over Brown’s performance against the Pistons, as the overall track record has been good. He’ll look to bounce back on Wednesday against the Pacers.

LeBron James tallied 18 points (8-of-15 FGs, 2-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, five assists and two steals in Sunday’s loss to the Pistons.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Bucks, James played 33 minutes on Sunday. Some of those minutes came at center, as the 76ers did not have Joel Embiid. James had a decent night, but he wasn’t as impactful as many fantasy managers likely hoped in the 76ers’ final game of Week 1.
