De’Andre Hunter lit up the Pelicans with 24 points (7-of-13 FGs), five rebounds, one assist and four three-pointers on Thursday.

It was a rough start to the year for Hunter, but he was able to score a season-best 24 points in their previous game on Tuesday. In this one, he matched that mark, though he knocked down one less three-pointer. Hunter has been hot during this two-game stretch, but he won’t continue to score 24 points every night, and his lack of production in other categories makes him a difficult player to justify rostering.

Largely an afterthought in fantasy basketball despite being a starter, Hunter delivered one of his best performances in a while on Tuesday. Averaging 5.7 points per game in Sacramento’s first three contests, Hunter finished with his first 20-point game since December 22, 2025, as a member of the Cavaliers. With Keegan Murray (ankle) out for 10-14 days, Hunter should have more opportunities to contribute offensively. The question is whether he can do so consistently.

Simmons’ 2026-27 season reportedly ended in devastating fashion days before his official return to the NBA. The 6-foot-10 guard/forward signed with the Kings with the expectation that he would back up rookie point guard Darius Acuff Jr. However, Simmons showed enough during the preseason to earn a starting spot alongside Acuff. Sunday’s injury changes that, obviously, with Precious Achiuwa and De’Andre Hunter being potential replacements in the starting five. As for the point guard rotation, Malik Monk will be asked to take on more playmaking responsibilities off the bench.
  • SAC Forward #13
With injuries limiting him to 23 games, Murray’s 2025-26 season was a lost one. He made his first appearance of the preseason on Saturday, logging eight minutes in the first quarter before being shut down. Murray’s return pushed De’Andre Hunter (four points, three rebounds and one assist) to the bench, and that’s likely to be the small-forward rotation once the regular season begins. As long as he’s healthy, Murray can be a valuable fantasy option. Another key for him beyond staying healthy is establishing a connection with rookie point guard Darius Acuff Jr.
  • SAC Forward-Guard #15
Hunter, whose 2025-26 season ended in February due to an eye injury that required surgery, was in the starting lineup on Monday. The Kings did not have Keegan Murray, so fantasy managers should not read too much into that. What they should read into when evaluating Hunter is that he did not have an official shot from the field, with his points coming via a three-shot foul. And there was no rebounding or defensive production to speak of. Hunter has rarely offered reliable fantasy value as a pro, making him challenging to trust in drafts.
  • SAC Forward-Guard #15
While Hunter practiced on Wednesday, he has not appeared in a game since a February 6 loss to the Clippers. The wing, acquired from the Cavaliers at the trade deadline, was inadvertently struck in the left eye by Clippers wing Kobe Sanders, resulting in left eye iritis. Further evaluations revealed a detached retina, prompting Friday’s procedure. Hunter is the third Kings rotation player to be ruled out for the rest of the season, joining Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis. Hunter’s absence means more playing time for Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden, with the former being a player who should be rostered for the rest of the season.
  • SAC Forward-Guard #15
Hunter will remain out for a fourth consecutive game as he continues to recover from left eye iritis. With Keegan Murray making his return on Thursday, Hunter’s absence led to Daeqwon Plowden playing ten minutes off the bench. There’s no need to stream Plowden while the Kings await Hunter’s return.
  • SAC Forward-Guard #15
While Hunter participated in Wednesday’s practice, he is not yet ready to play in games. The good news for the Kings is that Keegan Murray (ankle) will be available for the first time since late January. He should absorb a good percentage of the minutes that would go to Hunter.
  • SAC Forward-Guard #15
Injured during a February 6 loss to the Cavaliers, Hunter missed Sacramento’s final two games before the All-Star break. He came off the bench in that contest, with Daeqwon Plowden starting. However, Plowden did not remain in the starting lineup, and there’s no need to consider streaming him, especially with Keegan Murray (ankle) on track to return.

Hunter has been diagnosed with iritis in his left eye after being inadvertently poked in the eye by Clippers wing Kobe Sanders during Friday’s loss to the Clippers. His absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup, with rookie Nique Clifford being the player most likely to fill the void. Given where the Kings are in the standings, Clifford and Devin Carter should have added fantasy value after the All-Star break.
  • SAC Forward-Guard #12
Hunter injured his left eye after taking an inadvertent hit from Clippers’ wing Kobe Sanders. The Kings’ forward/guard has been diagnosed with left eye iritis, which is swelling and irritation in the colored ring around the pupil. Hopefully, this will not be an injury that keeps Hunter sidelined for an extended period. Nique Clifford, who logged 33 minutes on Friday, may move into the starting lineup after coming off the bench.

Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Jaylen Brown, Dean Wade and Adem Bona will start Saturday’s game against the Hornets.

Brown is back after sitting out Friday’s win over the Knicks, but the 76ers are giving LeBron James and Joel Embiid the night off. As a result, Wade remains a starter, and Bona starts at center.

Ace Bailey finished Saturday’s loss to the Trail Blazers with nine points (4-of-10 FGs), seven rebounds, one assist, two steals, three blocks and one three-pointer.

Like Darryn Peterson, Bailey played the entire fourth quarter and scored five of his nine points in the period. While the offensive production was limited, the rebounds and defensive stats were good. With Jaren Jackson Jr. sidelined, the Jazz would welcome any defensive contributions from Bailey, and fantasy managers likely feel the same way.

Darry Peterson recorded 16 points (6-of-15 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.

Peterson has scored in double figures in each of Utah’s last three games. Against the Trail Blazers, he wasn’t at his best, committing three turnovers, but the rookie guard still finished with a full stat line. Peterson played the entire fourth quarter, sharing the court with Keyonte George (8/3/4/1) for seven minutes and Isaiah Collier (8/1/4/2) for the other five. According to Cleaning the Glass, Peterson has played 90% of his minutes at shooting guard thus far. That split appears unlikely to change anytime soon, which may lower his fantasy ceiling.

Lauri Markkanen accounted for 13 points (3-of-14 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), six rebounds, one assist, two steals, two blocks and two three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Trail Blazers.

Back on the court after missing Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs with a right wrist injury, Markkanen played 29 minutes on Saturday before fouling out. Given the injury he was returning from, it wasn’t too surprising to see Markkanen shoot 2-of-11 from beyond the arc. Utah plays four games next week, starting with the Spurs on Monday. Hopefully, Markkanen is sharper than he was against Portland.

Damian Lillard amassed 22 points (6-of-17 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Jazz.

The 22 points are the most Lillard has scored in a game since Portland’s opener against the Suns, when he tallied 25. He didn’t shoot particularly well, but Dame led the Trail Blazers in assists and recorded a complete stat line. With Portland winning comfortably, Lillard played only 27 minutes on Saturday.

Scoot Henderson tallied 14 points (4-of-11 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, three steals and one three-pointer in Saturday’s win over the Jazz.

As expected, Henderson replaced Ja Morant (hamstring) in the starting lineup on Saturday. Unfortunately, he produced one assist and four turnovers in 31 minutes, but his steals tally was solid. Jrue Holiday (14/4/3/1 with two three-pointers) played nine fewer minutes than Henderson and was the more efficient of the two. Henderson is worth rostering while Morant sits, but those who add him will likely have to accept the efficiency issues.

Deni Avdija finished Saturday’s win over the Jazz with 24 points (6-of-12 FGs, 10-of-13 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers.

Portland’s first game since losing Ja Morant to a hamstring strain went smoothly, as they beat the Jazz by 22. Avdija led the way offensively, shooting a solid percentage from the field. He was one of three Trail Blazers to record multiple assists, along with Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday. Compared to Thursday’s loss to the Grizzlies, Avdija’s usage increased slightly, and it should remain that way until Morant returns. Portland plays four games next week, starting with Denver on Monday.

Jabari Walker (knee) and Tacko Fall (quad) are available for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.

While Walker has missed Philadelphia’s last three games, Fall was injured during the preseason and has not seen any action. With LeBron James and Joel Embiid out, the 76ers may have opportunities for Walker or Fall to provide frontcourt depth.

Dejounte Murray (personal) is out for Saturday’s game against the Hawks.

Due to the birth of his son, Murray will miss a second straight game. That leaves Jeremiah Fears as the lone point guard in the starting lineup, raising the second-year guard’s fantasy ceiling considerably. Also, Herb Jones should get another start.

Jaylen Brown (knee) is available for Saturday’s game against the Hornets.

Brown is good to go after sitting out Friday’s win over the Knicks. With LeBron James and Joel Embiid out, Dean Wade will likely start again after filling in for Brown on Friday.
