  • PHX Point Guard #74

Kansas State PG Barry Brown will join the Timberwolves’ Summer League squad.
Brown was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, while also earning First Team honors, both of which are awarded by the league’s coaches. He had an impressive four-year career with Kansas State but faces an uphill battle to make an NBA roster.
  • SAC Guard #0

Malik Monk (ankle) has been ruled out against the 76ers on Thursday.
Monk will miss a second straight game following an early exit on Sunday. Keon Ellis saw a bump in minutes with Monk sidelined, though he wasn’t productive in those minutes. Ellis has been a strong source of steals in the past, but based on the last two games, he is a risky streaming option.
Daniels holds 'tremendous upside' with growth
Noah Rubin analyzes Dyson Daniels' production for the Atlanta Hawks after notching a season-high five steals against the Celtics.
  • PHI Center-Forward #21
Joel Embiid (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against the Kings.
Embiid was initially probable for Thursday’s game, so the status upgrade was expected. He’ll take on his usual starting center duties, with Adem Bona serving as the primary backup. Given how the rotation has been handled recently when all three bigs are available, Andre Drummond may be the odd man out.
  • ATL Forward-Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) will not be available for Saturday’s game against the Pacers.
Okongwu exited Wednesday’s game against the Celtics after being hit in the mouth by Jaylen Brown, resulting in a dental fracture that required surgery. As a result, he’ll miss at least two games, starting with Thursday’s matchup with the Rockets. Okongwu is considered day-to-day, and the Hawks will rely on Mouhamed Gueye and Christian Koloko to fill the resulting void.
  • PHI Forward #8
Paul George (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against the Kings.
Two days removed from his most productive game of the season, George is good to go after initially being listed as probable for Thursday night. He’ll occupy his usual place in the starting lineup, with Dominick Barlow consigned to a bench role.
  • CHI Guard #3
Josh Giddey (hamstring) has been ruled out against the Heat on Thursday.
Giddey returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday, but he will sit out the second leg of this back-to-back, which isn’t surprising after an 11-game absence. Jalen Smith could return to the starting lineup, though Ayo Dosunmu should also see a bump in minutes.
  • PHI Guard #5
Quentin Grimes (ankle) is out for Thursday’s game against the Kings.
Thursday’s game will be the second that Gimes has missed due to a sprained right ankle. Justin Edwards played 24 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Bucks, and he may take on a similar workload against the Kings. However, there is not much to gain from streaming the second-year wing.
  • MEM Guard-Forward #2
Ty Jerome (calf) is doubtful to play against the Pelicans on Friday.
Jerome has yet to make his debut for Memphis, but he was assigned to the G League on Wednesday, which is a positive step in his recovery. He isn’t expected to play on Friday, but being upgraded to doubtful is a sign that he will be back relatively soon. For now, Cam Spencer will continue to start and play most of the minutes at point guard.
  • MEM Forward-Center #7
Santi Aldama (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Pelicans.
Counting Friday, Aldama has now missed four of the Grizzlies’ last five games. Jock Landale moved into the starting lineup for Wednesday’s loss to the Hornets, playing 26 minutes. He’s worth rostering while the Grizzlies are without Aldama and Zach Edey.
  • MIL Guard #50
Cole Anthony (illness) is available for Thursday’s game against the Wizards.
Due to injuries, Anthony has re-entered the Bucks’ rotation recently. However, his production has not been enough to merit being rostered in most redraft leagues. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for reliable value.
  • WAS Center #20
Alex Sarr (illness) is available to play against the Bucks on Thursday.
Sarr missed practice on Wednesday, which led to him being listed as questionable ahead of this game. However, he’ll be good to go and will occupy his typical spot in the starting lineup, where he’ll look to build on his 29/12/3/2/6 line from their last game on Tuesday.
