The Hornets and Cavaliers are willing to trade first-round picks to get win-now players, according to HoopsHype.
Cleveland picks at the end of the lottery at No. 14 where teams will look at guys like OSU’s Malaki Branham or Duke’s Mark Williams. Charlotte can double-dip on a win-now player and a lottery pick if it moves off of No. 15 and keeps No. 13. Charlotte’s needs are in the frontcourt for defense and explosiveness, while Cleveland could use more playmakers who can go out and get their own buckets.

Devin Booker (ankle) is available for Saturday’s game against the 76ers.
Booker is back after spraining his ankle in a January loss to the Hawks. With Grayson Allen (ankle) going down with an injury in Thursday’s loss to the Warriors, the Suns can make a one-for-one swap without changing the rest of their starting lineup against the 76ers on Saturday.

  • GSW Guard #30
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said ahead of Saturday’s game against the Lakers that Stephen Curry (knee) could be sidelined through the All-Star break.
Saturday’s game against the Lakers is the third that Curry has missed with “runner’s knee,” and he’ll likely be out longer. In addition to saying that his star guard was doubtful for Monday’s game against the Grizzlies, Kerr said that the Warriors may hold Curry out through the All-Star break. If that were to happen, he would also miss Wednesday’s game against the Spurs. Gui Santos has played well recently, and he’s worthy of streaming consideration in deep leagues while Curry sits.
  • GSW Forward-Center #7
Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters Kristaps Porziņģis (Achilles) will be out through the All-Star break.
Kerr told reporters that Porzingis met with the Warriors team doctor and the plan is to keep the 30-year-old center out through the All-Star break. The idea is that with some rest Porzingis will be ready to go for the second half of the season. It’s a fine idea, but health issues have followed Porzingis since the 2024 NBA Finals, making him difficult to trust in fantasy basketball.
  • DEN Guard #0
Christian Braun (ankle) is available for Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
Braun was initially probable for Saturday’s game, so the status upgrade was expected. He’ll take on his usual role within the Nuggets’ starting lineup. While Braun’s production has not been what fantasy managers hoped for, his ceiling may be raised due to Peyton Watson’s absence.
  • DEN Center #15
Nikola Jokić (ankle) is available for Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
Jokić is good to go after appearing to tweak his left ankle during Wednesday’s loss to the Knicks. He’ll take on his usual role as the Nuggets’ offensive focal point, and while there may be a minutes restriction, the three-time MVP has blown past his limit in the last two games.
  • DEN Forward #23
Cameron Johnson (knee) is available for Saturday’s game against the Bulls.
Johnson has been sidelined with a knee injury since December 23. The 29-year-old small forward is usable in fantasy if he returns to the starting lineup, but if he’s coming off the bench a wait-and-see approach might make more sense for fantasy managers.
  • OKC Center-Forward #7
Chet Holmgren had 17 points (5-of-10 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), 14 rebounds and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Rockets.
Holmgren missed Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs with a back injury, but this is his second double-double in a row going back to Tuesday’s win over the Magic. The 23-year-old center has provided fifth-round per game value over the last two weeks, according to Basketball Monster. The Thunder have four games upcoming in Week 17, starting with a matchup against the Lakers on the road on Monday.
  • OKC Guard #22
Cason Wallace had 23 points (10-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, four steals and one three-pointer in Saturday’s loss to the Rockets.
Wallace continues to produce with the Thunder missing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is out through the All-Star break at least. The 22-year-old guard led the Thunder with 23 points on 16 attempts and chipped in four rebounds and four assists. He also had four steals. Wallace is worth rostering in most leagues until SGA returns.
  • HOU Forward #17
Tari Eason had 26 points (10-of-22 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and five three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Thunder.
Eason is still managing a leg injury that caused him to sit out the second game of a back-to-back against the Hornets on Thursday. The 24-year-old small forward led the Rockets in scoring Saturday, though he was hardly efficient with 26 points on 22 attempts. Eason has provided fifth-round per game value over the last two weeks, according to Basketball Monster. He and the Rockets have four games upcoming in Week 17, beginning with the Clippers coming to town on Tuesday.
  • CHI Forward-Center #25
Jalen Smith (calf) is out for Saturday’s game against the Nuggets.
Smith is out after straining his right calf during Thursday’s loss to the Raptors. His absence means the Bulls will have to rely on Guerschon Yabusele and Nick Richards, with the latter making his first appearance since being acquired from the Bucks.
