Landry Shamet tallied 29 points (9-of-17 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), two rebounds, one steal and seven three-pointers in 40 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Nets.
With Mikal Bridges checking out six seconds into Sunday’s game, Shamet became a primary scoring option on Sunday. He made the most of his opportunity, shooting 7-of-13 from three and recording a season-high point total. Shamet shot 14-of-27 from three in his final three games of the season. While the Knicks did not have much on the line, the recent run could ensure that Shamet plays rotation minutes during the first-round series against Detroit. Game 1 will be on Saturday or Sunday.
