Miami’s first-round pick in the 2020 draft, Achiuwa, hopes his second stint with the Heat will be more successful than the first. The first order of business for the power forward who spent last season with the Knicks will be to earn a roster spot, as his contract is fully non-guaranteed. In 57 games for the Knicks, Achiuwa averaged 6.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 20.5 minutes. Even if he can make Miami’s opening night roster, Achiuwa faces long odds to become fantasy-relevant in 2025-26.

Absent from the initial injury report released by the Nets, Claxton is now questionable with a sore right hip. If he’s unable to play on Wednesday, Day’Ron Sharpe would be the next man up. And he is worth streaming when allowed to start.

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has made two changes to his starting lineup. After coming off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs, Jones and Washington move into the starting lineup. Westbrook rolled his left ankle during Monday’s loss to the Pelicans and was limited to 21 minutes. He won’t play against the Jazz, which could lead to Devin Carter moving into the starting lineup. Given the Kings’ injuries, Carter is worth streaming in deep leagues.

Sabonis will miss a fourth straight game with a back issue that has lingered for some time. Maxime Raynaud will remain the starting center, with Dylan Cardwell picking up additional minutes off the bench.

Wednesday’s game will be the third that Monk has missed due to illness. Devin Carter has picked up additional rotation minutes in Monk’s absence while also benefiting from the Kings’ decision to trade Dennis Schröder and Keon Ellis to the Cavaliers.
