Kon Knueppel amassed 20 points (6-of-11 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), one rebound, two assists and five three-pointers in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers.
While most of his fantasy value was limited to points and three-pointers, Knueppel has scored at least 19 points in each of his last five games. And Monday’s meager assist tally was a departure from the norm for the rookie, especially over the past two weeks. During this stretch, Knueppel has averaged 5.4 helpers per game, which is one reason he has been a top-10 player in eight-cat formats.

Julian Strawther (illness) is probable for Friday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Strawther was also probable ahead of Wednesday’s win over the Raptors. However, after being made available, he received a DNP-CD. Even if Strawther is available for Friday’s game, fantasy managers should not rely on him.
Highlights: Banchero sinks Pacers in final seconds
Paolo Banchero leads the Orlando Magic with 29 points and makes the game-winning shot with 7.5 seconds to go to get the road win.
  • DEN Guard #27
Jamal Murray (ankle) is listed as probable for Friday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Murray appeared to tweak his ankle on Monday and was moving gingerly, but then played 38 minutes on Wednesday. The Nuggets cannot afford to lose him since he’s the only healthy starter they still have. We’d expect him to play through the tenderness on Friday and then perhaps have his minutes limited on Sunday against the Nets if the Nuggets can build a lead in that game.
  • IND Forward #22
Isaiah Jackson (concussion) has been ruled out against the Spurs on Friday.
Jackson will miss his sixth consecutive game with a concussion. Tony Bradley will serve as the primary backup to Jaff Huff, just as he has in the previous five games.
  • UTA Guard #3
Keyonte George (illness) has been downgraded to out for Thursday’s game against the Clippers.
This will be George’s first missed game of the season. The Jazz will also be without Lauri Markkanen (knee), so things could get rough on Thursday. Isaiah Collier will likely start in George’s place with Walter Clayton also seeing an increase in minutes and usage.
  • UTA Forward-Center #23
Lauri Markkanen (knee) is officially out against the Clippers on Thursday.
Markkanen is dealing with a left knee contusion that will keep him out of the lineup for this one. The Jazz will turn to Svi Mykhailiuk, Taylor Hendricks, and Kyle Filipowski to pick up the slack, but Markkanen should return to the starting lineup on Saturday against the Warriors.
  • POR Forward #9
Jerami Grant (Achilles) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Pelicans.
Grant is traveling with the team, so there is a chance he could return to the court this weekend. He has now missed six straight games with Achilles tendonitis, which has led to an uptick in usage for Kris Murray.
  • POR Guard #00
Scoot Henderson (hamstring) has begun on-court basketball activities and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Henderson began non-contact work earlier this month, but now he has progressed to basketball-specific activities. The Blazers will see how he responds to that increase in workload in two weeks, and then we should have a better idea of his exact timeline.
  • POR Guard #5
Jrue Holiday (calf) has been cleared for on-court basketball activities.
Holiday has been out for over a month with a calf injury, but appears to be inching closer to a return. His exact timeline will “be determined based on functional response to loading and updated accordingly.” There’s a chance he’s back on the court as early as next week, which would mean Sidy Cissoko moves back to a smaller role in the rotation.
  • BOS Forward #99
Chris Boucher (personal) is available to play against the Kings on Thursday.
Boucher had been out since Christmas for personal reasons, but he will be available to play on Thursday. He has not been a huge part of the Celtics’ rotation this year and should not be counted on in fantasy leagues.
  • BKN Forward #17
Michael Porter Jr. (illness) has been officially ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Rockets.
That means the Nets will be without Porter Jr., Egor Demin, and Terance Mann on Thursday. While Tyrese Martin could see more minutes, Cam Thomas could see all the usage he can handle on Thursday. Nic Claxton may also see a sizable workload as well.
