Alperen Şengün accounted for 19 points (8-of-20 FGs, 2-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and one three-pointer in Sunday’s loss to the Kings.
This has been a challenging time for Şengün’s managers, as injuries have sidelined him for five of the Rockets’ previous seven games entering Sunday (and he played only one minute in a January 3 loss to Dallas). While the center did not shoot the ball well in Sacramento, playing 35 minutes in his first game back was encouraging. The Rockets play four games in Week 13, but a midweek back-to-back could limit Şengün to three appearances, depending on how the training staff handles his playing time.
