Scottie Barnes had 13 points (5-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and one three-pointer in the Raptors’ 107-106 win over the Magic on Monday.
Barnes’ biggest play of the night came on the defensive end rather than the offensive end. Clinging to a 107-106 lead in the final seconds, Barnes locked up Paolo Banchero, who missed a shot at the buzzer. The 24-year-old small forward’s scoring has been down recently with 14 or less points in four of his last six games. Barnes has still tallied 36 rebounds over his last two games as he’s taken over on the glass. The Raptors play again Wednesday against the Nuggets.

Brandon Ingram (thumb) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Ingram injured his right thumb during Wednesday’s win over the Hornets, exiting after playing 11 minutes. With Scottie Barnes also out, the Raptors will lean heavily on Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett for their offense. Ja’Kobe Walter and Ochai Agbaji should see their playing time increase, with both potentially moving into the starting five.
Embiid's recent play has been 'really encouraging'
Noah Rubin explains why Joel Embiid "is still one of the most dangerous scorers in the NBA when he's healthy," analyzing his recent play, debating if the star center can play healthy and previewing his next few games.
  • TOR Forward-Guard #4
Scottie Barnes (knee) is out for Friday’s game against the Celtics.
Barnes suffered a right knee injury in Wednesday’s game against the Hornets, but was able to finish the contest. Now the 24-year-old small forward has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Celtics with a right knee sprain. Sandro Mamukelashvili or Ochai Agbaji could move into the starting lineup with Barnes out.
  • DET Guard #2
Cade Cunningham (wrist) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Clippers.
Cunningham did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, which moved Jaden Ivey into the starting lineup. However, Ivey only played 20 minutes despite no longer being under a minutes restriction. Daniss Jenkins played 28 minutes off the bench and dished out a career-high 15 assists.
  • ATL Forward #10
Zaccharie Risacher (knee) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Nuggets.
Absent from the initial injury report released by the Hawks, Risacher is now questionable due to left knee inflammation. He last missed a game on November 18, with Vit Krejčí filling the void. Krejčí can provide three-point value when allowed to start, especially as part of a rotation that won’t have new additions CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert.
  • IND Forward #22
Isaiah Jackson (concussion) is out for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Jackson has not appeared in a game since December 22, as he remains in the league’s concussion protocol. The Pacers have stuck with a rotation of Jay Huff and Micah Potter recently, but Tony Bradley played 15 minutes on Thursday due to the latter’s early exit with an injury. Potter is available for Saturday’s game.
  • IND Guard-Forward #2
Andrew Nembhard (back) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Heat.
Nembhard was a late scratch for Thursday’s win over the Hornets, with Quenton Jackson replacing him in the starting lineup. However, T.J. McConnell benefited the most from Nembhard’s absence and should be the preferred streamer if the Pacers play another game without their starting point guard.
  • CLE Forward-Center #32
Dean Wade (knee) is out for Saturday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Wade did not play in Thursday’s loss to the Timberwolves, with his absence factoring into the decision to start Craig Porter Jr. However, Porter only played 15 minutes, while Sam Merrill scored 22 points in 30 minutes off the bench.
  • MIN Guard #10
Mike Conley (rest) is out for Saturday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Conley will get Saturday night off, as it is the first game of a back-to-back for the Timberwolves. Bones Hyland will figure more prominently in the rotation, and Rob Dillingham may pick up a few minutes after receiving a DNP-CD on Thursday.
  • MIN Forward-Center #30
Julius Randle (thumb) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Randle, a left-handed shooter, is dealing with a sore left thumb. He’s yet to miss a game this season, but if that changes on Saturday, Naz Reid would have a higher ceiling even if he remained in his usual sixth-man role.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards (foot) is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Edwards was also questionable ahead of Thursday’s home win over the Cavaliers, but he played and recorded a solid all-around stat line. If he can’t play in Saturday’s rematch, Bones Hyland would be the likely replacement in the starting lineup since Mike Conley (rest) is out.
