Max Christie (illness) accounted for 22 points (7-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Jazz.
Back in the lineup after a two-game absence, it took Christie a little time to get going. But once he did, the Mavericks’ guard produced one of his better performances this season. Christie finished with his fourth 20-point game of the season and was a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. With Cooper Flagg (ankle) joining Anthony Davis on the sidelines, Christie is worth a roll of the dice in deeper leagues.

Jalen Brunson, Jordan Clarkson, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns will start Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
The Knicks don’t have Josh Hart for Wednesday’s game, as he sprained his ankle during Tuesday’s win over the Wizards. He’ll be replaced in the lineup by Clarkson, who had fallen out of the rotation before injuries pushed him into the rotation on Tuesday.
Davis trade bodes well for Wizards' near future
Eric Samulski discusses the trade that sent Anthony Davis from the Dallas Mavericks to the Wizards, and how, despite his injury troubles this season, his addition is promising for Washington's success next year.
  • DEN Forward #21
Jamal Murray, Christian Braun, Spencer Jones, Peyton Watson and Nikola Jokić will start Wednesday’s game against the Knicks.
Jones is back in the Nuggets’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s game, with his inclusion coming at Jalen Pickett’s expense. Denver will have a decision to make afterward, as this is the 50th game Jones has been active for this season, the limit for players on two-day deals. If the Nuggets want to have Jones available for the rest of the regular season and the playoffs, they’ll need to convert him to a standard contract.
  • CHA Guard #25
KJ Simpson (hip) is out for Thursday’s game against the Rockets.
Simpson last appeared in a game on December 18. His continued absence will not affect the Hornets’ rotation or fantasy basketball.
  • CHA Forward #31
Tidjane Salaün (illness) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Rockets.
Salaün has missed Charlotte’s last two games, coinciding with Grant Williams being available. Since the Hornets have Williams in the fold, it’s doubtful that Salaün gets the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball. In fact, the second-year forward isn’t guaranteed to be in the rotation.
  • MIN Forward-Center #30
Julius Randle (thumb) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Raptors.
Randle is still dealing with a sore left thumb, which happens to be on his shooting hand. The 31-year-old power forward appears ready to continue playing through the injury. Randle’s had 27 and 19 points in his last two game since incurring the injury, so it isn’t slowing him down very much, which is great news for fantasy managers.
  • MIN Guard #5
Anthony Edwards (elbow) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Raptors.
Edwards is set to play after initially being listed as questionable with a sore left elbow. He’ll occupy his usual place in the starting lineup, and there may be more on-ball playmaking opportunities for Edwards since the Timberwolves traded Mike Conley on Tuesday.
  • DAL Guard #10
Brandon Williams (leg) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
Williams did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics, leading to more minutes for Jaden Hardy and Ryan Nembhard. Hardy has since been traded to the Wizards, meaning Nembhard’s playing time would increase if Williams remains out.
  • HOU Forward #7
Kevin Durant (ankle) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Celtics.
Durant was initially listed as probable with an ankle injury, so his availability isn’t a surprise. The 37-year-old small forward missed Monday’s game against the Pacers after tweaking something in his ankle. It was only the third game Durant has missed all season. Reed Sheppard will return to the bench with Durant back in the starting lineup.
  • DAL Forward-Center #21
Daniel Gafford (ankle) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
Gafford, whose right ankle has been an issue since the start of training camp, sprained it again during the second quarter of Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics. While he did return during the third quarter, the Mavericks center is back on the injury report. If he can’t play against the Spurs, Dallas will rely on Dwight Powell and Moussa Cissé to handle the center position.
  • DAL Forward #25
P.J. Washington (concussion) is out for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
Washington missed Tuesday’s game against the Celtics after leaving Saturday’s game against the Rockets early with a head injury. Now the 27-year-old power forward is set to miss another game as he remains in the league’s concussion protocol. Caleb Martin could see another start Thursday with Washington out.
