Brandon Miller led the Hornets on Thursday with 20 points (8-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, two steals and two three-pointers in a 124-97 win over the Magic.
Miller got hot late in the third quarter and scored 11 points over the final six minutes of the frame. He didn’t do any more scoring in the fourth quarter, but he didn’t need to due to the lopsided score. This was his fifth straight game scoring at least 20 points, which is his longest stretch of the season. He has shot the ball more efficiently in recent weeks, which has helped his value. He’ll look to stay hot against the Wizards on Saturday.

Ron Holland finished Thursday’s loss to the Wizards with 11 points (4-of-9 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot.
Who will step up for Thunder with SGA injured?
Noah Rubin talks about Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being sidelined until after the All-Star break because of an abdominal strain, revealing some players who could step up for the Thunder in Gilgeous-Alexander's absence.
  • DET Guard #2
Cade Cunningham accounted for 30 points (10-of-21 FGs, 10-of-13 FTs), eight rebounds, eight assists and one block in Thursday’s loss to the Wizards.
  • WAS Guard #13
Sharife Cooper tallied 18 points (8-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Pistons.
  • WAS Forward #27
Will Riley finished Thursday’s win over the Pistons with 20 points (9-of-14 FGs, 0-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and two three-pointers.
  • GSW Guard #61
Pat Spencer, Moses Moody, De’Anthony Melton, Gui Santos and Draymond Green will start Thursday’s game against the Suns.
Moody, Santos and Green are the holdovers from the quintet that started Tuesday’s blowout loss to the 76ers. The changes are Spencer and Melton, with Brandin Podziemski and Al Horford moving to the bench. Of the replacements, Melton offers a higher fantasy ceiling in this spot.
  • PHI Center-Forward #21
Joel Embiid (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against the Lakers.
Embiid is available after the 76ers listed him as questionable on the initial injury report. He’ll take on his usual starting center duties, with Adem Bona slotting in as the backup. As has been the case on most nights when all three are available, Andre Drummond may be the odd man out.
  • PHI Forward #25
The 76ers have signed Dominick Barlow to a standard contract.
Barlow has been a revelation for the 76ers this season, playing well enough to earn a place in the starting lineup at the beginning of the season. With Paul George suspended for 25 games, Barlow has returned to the starting lineup. Converting him to a standard deal, which includes a team option for the 2026-27 season, ensures that Barlow is eligible to play in Thursday’s game against the Lakers.
  • De’Anthony Melton (knee) is available for Thursday’s game against the Suns.
Melton is good to go after initially being questionable with a sore left knee. With Stephen Curry (knee) still out and Buddy Hield no longer in the picture, Melton boasts a higher fantasy ceiling despite coming off the bench.
  • GSW Forward-Center
Kristaps Porziņǵis (Achilles) is not expected to make his Warriors’ debut until Monday against the Grizzlies.
Acquired from the Hawks in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield, Porziņǵis missed time due to Achilles tendinitis before the trade. While he will join his new teammates in Los Angeles on Friday ahead of Saturday’s game against the Lakers, the 7-foot-2 forward/center is not expected to play until Monday’s home game against the Grizzlies.
  • DET Center #0
Jalen Duren (knee) will not return to Thursday’s game against the Wizards.
Duren looked like a shell of himself in the 13 first-half minutes he played, and with good reason. The first-time All-Star has since been ruled out for the rest of the night with a sore right knee, finishing with four points and three rebounds. Ron Holland replaced Duren in the lineup to begin the second half.
