After a terrible showing in Tuesday’s loss to the Lakers, Edwards bounced back in a major way on Wednesday. He recorded his 36 points efficiently, shooting well over 50 percent from the field. The five turnovers were a negative, but fantasy managers will take that compared to the line Edwards recorded the night prior. The Timberwolves still have two more games in Week 20, starting with the Warriors on Thursday.

Julius Randle

Julius Randle finished Wednesday’s loss to the Clippers with 11 points (3-of-10 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Unfortunately for those who have Randle on their fantasy rosters, he had another underwhelming performance on Wednesday. A 5-of-5 night from the foul line pushed him into double figures, and the rebounds and assists were solid. However, most fantasy managers who drafted Randle did so with the expectation of bigger scoring numbers. The Timberwolves have two more games in Week 20; hopefully, Randle finishes on a high note.

Garland and his new teammates are strengthening their chemistry by the game. He’s scored 21 points or more in three straight games, and the Clippers point guard did his damage on Wednesday in just 23 minutes. The Clippers end Week 20 with games on Friday and Saturday, and Garland did not play both legs of the team’s last one. So, fantasy managers may get to use the point guard for one game only.

Bennedict Mathurin

LAC Guard-Forward #9

Bennedict Mathurin accounted for 22 points (5-of-10 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Timberwolves.

Mathurin continued his recent 20-point run with another solid showing against the Timberwolves, making it four of the last five games in which he’s exceeded that mark. The Clippers guard scored 10 of his 22 points from the foul line on Wednesday, and all that was missing from the final stat line was a blocked shot. The Clippers still have two more games in Week 20, which is good news for fantasy managers who have Mathurin on their roster.

Kawhi Leonard

LAC Forward #2

Kawhi Leonard finished Wednesday’s win over the Timberwolves with 45 points (15-of-20 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, two steals and six three-pointers.

Wednesday isn’t the first time an opponent looked helpless in its attempts to slow down Leonard, and it won’t be the last, either. Shooting 9-of-11 from two and 6-of-9 from three, The Klaw shot 75 percent from the field, and now has five games this season with at least 40 points. Since the All-Star break, Leonard has been a top-10 player in fantasy basketball, which aligns with his season-long value. The Clippers play two more games in Week 20.

Precious Achiuwa

SAC Forward #9

Precious Achiuwa tallied 14 points (6-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot in Wednesday’s loss to the Hornets.

Achiuwa continues to provide solid value to fantasy managers. Since the All-Star break, the Kings’ forward has provided fifth-round value in eight-cat formats. Achiuwa is rostered in 37 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is too low given his current role and production. With the Kings ending Week 20 with a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday, Precious is worth the risk in 12-team leagues.

Nique Clifford

SAC Guard #5
Nique Clifford finished Wednesday’s loss to the Hornets with 18 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one block and two three-pointers.

While Clifford did not serve as the starting point guard on Wednesday, the absences of Russell Westbrook, Malik Monk and Devin Carter factored into the rookie’s playing time. He logged 41 minutes, finishing with a complete stat line. Killian Hayes (11/2/4 with one three-pointer) played 31 minutes as the starting point guard, but Clifford is due to be the Kings’ priority the rest of this season. Now is a good time to pick him up, especially with the Kings playing two more games in Week 20.

DeMar DeRozan

SAC Guard-Forward #10

DeMar DeRozan accumulated 39 points (17-of-22 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and one blocked shot in Wednesday’s loss to the Hornets.

DeRozan put on a show against the Hornets, even if it occurred in a defeat. He scored 24 points in the first half, passing Tim Duncan to move into 18th on the NBA’s career points list in the process. DeRozan finished with 39 points and played 41 of a possible 48 minutes. Wednesday’s defeat officially eliminated the Kings from postseason contention, so the 40-minute nights may not happen for DeRozan moving forward.

Kon Knueppel

CHA Guard-Forward #7

Kon Knueppel finished Wednesday’s win over the Kings with 24 points (7-of-13 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists and five three-pointers.

Having shot 9-of-20 from the field in his prior two games, Knueppel cleaned up his shooting in Wednesday’s victory. The rookie knocked down five of his eight three-point attempts and was perfect at the foul line. Since the All-Star break, Knueppel has averaged nearly 21 points per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field. He’s been right there with Cooper Flagg in the race for Rookie of the Year, and some would argue that Knueppel should be the favorite.

Brandon Miller

CHA Forward #24

Brandon Miller accounted for 20 points (7-of-15 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Kings.

Miller has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four appearances, and Wednesday’s stat line had everything but a blocked shot. Since the All-Star break, the Hornets wing has provided second-round value in eight-cat formats, exceeding his Yahoo! ADP by a few rounds. Not only has Miller’s improved production benefited fantasy managers, but it’s one reason why the Hornets are in contention for a playoff spot in the East.

Miles Bridges

Miles Bridges produced 26 points (11-of-15 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, five assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Kings.

Bridges entered Wednesday’s game in a shooting slump, averaging 11.8 points per game on 30.8 percent shooting from the field over his last five games. To say he needed a night like Wednesday would be an understatement. The 26 points were the most Bridges has scored in a game since February 7, when he hit that number in a win over the Hawks. He’ll look to finish Week 20 on a high note when the Hornets visit the Spurs on Saturday.
