Auo Dosunmu (calf) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets.
Dosunmu’s calf injury leaves the Timberwolves down another key rotation option, as he was filling in for the injured Anthony Edwards. Bones Hyland, whose opportunities and production have increased with Ant-Man out, is the best option for fantasy managers, whether he starts or continues to come off the bench.

Devin Vassell amassed 19 points (7-of-10 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies.
Vassell had the hot hand on Wednesday, particularly from beyond the arc. His three-point production helped tie a team-high in points, while his activity on the glass put him within striking distance of a double-double. However, a one-sided contest ultimately limited Vassell to 26 minutes. Perhaps he’ll be able to carry his momentum over to Saturday’s game against the Bucks, when the Spurs try for their eighth consecutive win.
Highlights: Doncic helps Lakers hang on vs. Pacers
Luka Doncic puts in 43 points worth of work and dished out seven assists as Los Angeles closed out a win in Indianapolis.
  • SAS Forward-Center #1
Victor Wembanyama added 19 points (8-of-15 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), 15 rebounds, three assists, three steals, seven blocks and one three-pointer in the blowout win over the Grizzlies.
Wemby was stellar in his relatively limited minutes on Wednesday, as a 25-point win limited him to only 27 minutes. His time on the floor was productive, however, as he racked up another double-double while blocking all but two of his team’s nine shots. The former first-overall pick also added a few steals to combine for 10 stocks, the second time he’s done that this season. Wembanyama, regardless of minutes, is arguably as reliable a fantasy option as any. He’ll have a chance to put together another spectacular line on Saturday when the Spurs face the Bucks.
  • CLE Guard #45
Donovan Mitchell had 28 points (12-of-22 FGs), six rebounds, four assists and four three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Heat.
Mitchell was coming off a 42-point performance in the win over the Magic on Tuesday. The difference in the two games for the 29-year-old shooting guard were simple: free throws. Mitchell was 11-of-11 from the line against the Magic and didn’t even attempt a single free throw against the Heat. He was still able to put up 28 points and four three-pointers. Mitchell has provided second-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Cavaliers only have one more game this week with a rematch against the Heat on Friday.
  • MIA Guard #24
Norman Powell had 19 points (7-of-12 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Cavaliers.
Powell must be feeling better as the Heat moved him back into the starting lineup after coming off the bench following an injury absence. The 32-year-old responded with 19 points and three three-pointers. Powell has provided 12th-round per game value over the last two weeks. His managers will benefit from the Heat playing two more games this week.
  • MIA Center-Forward #13
Bam Adebayo had 17 points (6-of-19 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s win over the Cavaliers.
Adebayo was 5-of-10 from the field if you remove his ugly 1-of-9 from behind the three-point line. Otherwise it was an excellent game for the 28-year-old center in a tough matchup against the Cavaliers’ frontline. Adebayo has provided top-75 per game value over the last two weeks. The Heat have two more games this week with a rematch against the Cavaliers set for Friday.
  • OKC Center-Forward #7
Chet Holmgren shot 3-of-7 from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line in Tuesday’s loss to the Celtics, scoring 10 points with five rebounds and one three-pointer.
  • OKC Guard #5
Luguentz Dort accounted for 14 points (5-of-9 FGs), five rebounds, one block and four three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics.
In his prior five appearances, Dort shot a combined 6-of-33 from the field overall and 5-of-26 from beyond the arc. To say he needed a night like Wednesday would be a serious understatement. Dort was 4-of-6 from deep against the Celtics. While the defensive production was limited, category-league managers will take the three-point production, which has not always been there for Dort.
  • MIA Guard #14
Tyler Herro had 18 points (6-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), two rebounds, four assists, three steals and four three-pointers in the Heat’s 120-103 victory over the Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Herro has eclipsed the 30-point mark just once all season and perhaps efforts like Wednesday’s in the win over the Cavaliers is more of what we can expect from the 26-year-old point guard going forward. He still has a lot of value if he can score around 20 points with better efficiency and contributions in the other categories. Herro has provided sixth-round per game value over the last two weeks.
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander amassed 33 points (10-of-12 FGs, 10-of-12 FTs), two rebounds, eight assists, two steals and three three-pointers in Wednesday’s loss to the Celtics.
While Gilgeous-Alexander managed to extend his 20-point streak by halftime, he did not attempt a free throw during the first half. The reigning MVP was a frequent visitor to the line after the intermission, which factored into him surpassing 30 points for the third time in five games. Add the assists and steals, and Wednesday was an excellent night for managers rostering Gilgeous-Alexander. The Thunder play two more games in Week 22, starting with the Bulls on Friday.
  • BOS Guard #11
Payton Pritchard recorded 14 points (5-of-11 FGs), two rebounds, one assist, one block and four three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Thunder.
The Celtics received 35 points from their bench on Wednesday, with Pritchard leading the way, to no one’s surprise. Having shot a combined 9-of-24 from the field in his prior two appearances, the Celtics’ guard was a bit more efficient on Wednesday. Pritchard shot 4-of-6 from three, with the four makes being the most for him in a game since he hit five in a March 16 win over the Suns. Baylor Scheierman also reached double figures off the bench, finishing with 11 points, five rebounds, one assist and three three-pointers.
