After being a starter for most of his rookie season, Missi has primarily been a fantasy afterthought in 2025-26. However, Wednesday’s performance was one of his best, with the Pelicans’ center recording his second double-double of the season. Nine of Missi’s 12 rebounds came on the offensive end, and his play affected how the playing time was distributed. While Missi played 34 minutes, starter Derik Queen (four points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block) played 16. Wednesday isn’t a sign to give up on Queen, but rather a reminder to keep an eye on Missi, especially if the rookie were to go down with an injury.

Zion Williams finished Wednesday’s win over the Nets with 25 points (12-of-22 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.

All that was missing from Williamson’s stat line on Wednesday was a three-pointer, but that’s to be expected of the Pelicans’ forward. Foul shooting remains an issue for him, as he’s making 52.2 percent of his attempts over the past two weeks. However, for those willing to punt free-throw percentage and turnovers, Williamson has been close to a top-25 player over the past two weeks. As long as he’s healthy, Zion can offer solid fantasy value.
Trey Murphy

Trey Murphy amassed 34 points (12-of-22 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), nine rebounds, five assists, two steals, one block and five three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Nets.

Murphy has scored at least 31 points in four of his last five appearances, continuing to lead the way offensively for the Pelicans. A top-20 player in eight-cat formats for the season, he’s been a top-5 player over the past two weeks. With the Pelicans not having control of their first-round pick, there’s no reason for them to consider tanking. That’s great news for managers who have Murphy rostered, as it should ensure that he’ll be available during the fantasy playoff weeks.

Herb Jones (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Nets.

Jones will sit out another contest, and Saddiq Bey should see big minutes. Bryce McGowens could see a few rotational minutes, but the latter isn’t a worthwhile waiver wire add.

The highs are quite high, and the lows are rather low for Poole. Over his last five games, he has hit at least four triples in three of them, and he has gone scoreless in the other two. Poole has been too inconsistent to be considered a must-roster player, even if he is able to have some strong outings from time to time. Still, this was a solid performance for him.

Trey Murphy led the Pelicans with 31 points (11-of-19 FGs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four three-pointers in a 122-116 loss to the Nuggets on Tuesday.

Murphy’s scorching hot stretch continued in this game. This was his fifth straight game with at least 20 points and three three-pointers while shooting at least 50 percent from the floor. He has been one of the bright spots in what has been a horrendous season for New Orleans, and he’ll continue to be a fantasy stud as a focal point of the offense for the Pels.

Saddiq Bey returned to the lineup on Tuesday and finished with 17 points (4-of-8 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), four rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer against the Nuggets.

Following a six-game absence, Bey was back and starting for New Orleans. While he played a big role and was able to score some points, he didn’t contribute as much across the board as he has in the past. He has had an excellent bounce-back season after missing all of last year, and as long as he continues to start, he’ll hold value in standard leagues.

Bey will be back after missing the last six games for the Pelicans. He’ll immediately return to the starting lineup, which will result in Bryce McGowens not only being pushed out of the starting lineup but being listed inactive for this game.

Bey is on track to return from a six-game absence due to a right hip flexor. Bey should reclaim his starting role from Bryce McGowens, but with Herb Jones (ankle) out, McGowens could see some rotational minutes. McGowens isn’t worth a look in most fantasy leagues due to his limited production.

Herb Jones (ankle) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Nuggets.

Tuesday’s game will be the fourth that Jones has missed since spraining his right ankle. Bryce McGowens has started the last two and may remain in that role, but there’s no need to stream him despite his being a starter.
