Bucks come from 26 down, get tip-in from Antetokounmpo to take lead late, beat Trail Blazers

A win is a win.

Nothing much was pretty about this game for the Milwaukee Bucks as they continue to look like a team struggling to find an identity and rhythm, which is how they ended up down 26 on Sunday to the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland looked in control midway through the third quarter but then the Bucks and their stars did what great teams do against lesser opponents, they found a way behind their stars, Giannis Antetokounmpo (33 points) and Damian Lillard (31). The Bucks charged back and made it a game late.

This night for the Bucks can be summed up on the bucket that put Milwaukee ahead for good — nothing was pretty or planned about this, but it worked.

Milwaukee won 108-102, and the 26-point comeback to win was the largest in the NBA this season.

While the season-long numbers for the Bucks don’t impress, particularly on defense, over their past eight games the team is 7-1 with a top 10 offense and defense over that stretch. They still don’t have a healthy Khris Middleton, the offense can feel clunky at points, but Milwaukee is still 12-5 on the season.

The banged-up Trail Blazers fell to 4-12 as starting guards Malcolm Brogdon and Shaedon Sharpe combined to shoot 33.3% for the game. On the bright side, Scoot Henderson had a solid outing off the bench as he returns to action, with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
