Nike Basketball unveiled the latest signature shoe for Kobe Bryant this past weekend, and the Kobe X returns to a low-top silhouette while providing what the company promises to be innovative and game-changing traction for an even higher standard of performance.
To accompany the upcoming release, the company produced what it describes as “a narrated podcast that chronicles the unique relationship between designer and athlete, and how they drive one another toward perfection.”
It’s a little heavy on the technical details at the beginning, but the interviews and stories contained within are well worth sticking around for -- especially the stuff about how Bryant enjoys playing the villain, what motivates him at this stage of his career, and how he sees the end of his basketball days ultimately playing themselves out.
