George will get another night off, and he’ll look to recover during the All-Star break. Even if he comes back from the break healthy, George is a candidate to miss games down the stretch as the Jazz look to secure a more favorable pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Isaiah Collier has shined with George out, so fantasy managers should continue to deploy him until further notice.

Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee) is out for the season, and the Jazz were already sitting their stars in the fourth quarter. It was only a matter of time before Markkanen started missing games, and Thursday’s matchup with Portland surely won’t be the last of the 2025-26 campaign. Kyle Filipowski should be in line for big minutes tonight, and he’s worth streaming for the small, three-game slate.

NBA insider Chris B. Haynes reports that Jaren Jackson Jr. will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his left knee “to ensure longterm health.”

The news come out of left field, and Haynes notes that JJJ underwent surgery after a localized PVNS growth was discovered post trade. Fantasy managers should have already planned for him to miss fourth quarters, but now he’ll be totally unavailable. With Jackson Jr. sidelined and Utah already in active tank mode, it won’t be long before other starters begin to get shut down. “Silly season” heroes will emerge from this rotation, and some of the best are Kyle Filipowski, Brice Sensabaugh, Isaiah Collier and Vince Williams Jr.

Isaiah Collier finished Wednesday’s win over the Kings with 12 points (5-of-8 FGs), one rebound, 14 assists, one steal and two three-pointers.

Starting for the injured Keyonte George, Collier put together another high-assist effort in Utah’s blowout of the Kings. He’s recorded at least nine assists in five straight games, hitting double digits in four. Regardless of George’s availability, Collier will be worth rostering for the silly season, especially after the Jazz traded Walter Clayton Jr. to the Grizzlies as part of the Jaren Jackson Jr. deal.

Brice Sensabaugh finished Wednesday’s win over the Kings with 19 points (8-of-14 FGs), two rebounds, one steal and three three-pointers.

After totaling 18 points on 5-of-19 shooting in Utah’s prior two games, Sensabaugh dropped an efficient 19 points on Wednesday. He played 24 minutes against the Kings, and depending on how the Jazz handle Lauri Markkanen’s workload, that could increase after the All-Star break. Given what he can do in his current role, Sensabaugh is a player worth rostering during the silly season.

Lauri Markkanen notched 19 points (7-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s win over the Kings.

Markkanen has not exceeded 27 minutes since a February 1 loss to the Raptors, when he played 39, and he was on the floor for 21 minutes on Wednesday. Of course, his playing time on Wednesday was influenced by the game being a blowout, but the recent decrease in playing time lowers Markkanen’s fantasy ceiling. Twenty-five minutes of Markkanen is better than 30-plus minutes of many other forwards in fantasy basketball, but Utah’s focus on the draft lottery has done managers no favors.

Jaren Jackson Jr. accumulated 23 points (8-of-13 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s win over the Kings.

One way to ensure that your team isn’t the focus of any tanking complaints is to blow the doors off your opponent as soon as possible. That’s what Jackson and the Jazz did on Wednesday, outscoring Sacramento 39-20 in the first quarter. He recorded a complete stat line in 22 minutes of play, and this feels like a case in which fantasy managers will be lucky to get 28-30 minutes out of Trip again this season. The Jazz end the pre-break portion of their schedule with a game against the Trail Blazers on Thursday.

Keyonte George (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Kings.

George aggravated his sprained right ankle during Saturday’s loss to the Magic, and Wednesday’s game will be the second that he’s missed. Isaiah Collier has moved into the starting lineup, and he should be rostered while George sits.

Kyle Filipowski recorded a double-double on Monday with 16 points (4-of-9 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals against the Heat.

Filipowski didn’t get the starting nod, but he was able to record a double-double for the fourth time in his last six games. He was also part of the closing unit since head coach Will Hardy once again benched the veterans at the end of the game. Filipowski should be able to have more outings like this one over the final two months of the season, making him worth stashing.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Jazz with 22 points (7-of-19 FGs), five rebounds, three assists, two steals and two three-pointers in a 115-111 win over the Heat on Monday.

Jackson wasn’t as efficient as he was in his debut for Utah, but he was still able to contribute similar numbers. However, it had a chance to be a much better night. He scored 17 points in the first half, but he wasn’t part of the closing lineup. Managers should expect that trend to continue, which will limit Jackson’s impact in the box score. Still, he’s at least playing, and he’s been productive to this point.
