Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo involved in altercation

Herro was the biggest piece included in the trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami earlier this summer. Coming off a 2025-26 season in which injuries limited him to 33 games, there should be no lack of motivation for Herro as he returns to his home state. Regarding his contract, Herro is going into the final season of his current deal, but there’s no concern about getting an extension done anytime soon. “I’m not really worried about it right now,” Herro said on Saturday. “It’s a new slate for me, for the coaches, really for the organization as a whole. I don’t think that needs to be a burden over anyone’s shoulders.” Multiple guards on the Bucks roster will be given every opportunity to contribute, including Ryan Rollins, Kevin Porter Jr., Gary Trent Jr. and lottery pick Brayden Burries. When healthy, Herro can offer excellent fantasy value, especially if he is one of Milwaukee’s offensive focal points.

The Pistons have been linked to nearly every available shooter this offseason. Prior to the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, it was believed that Powell would re-sign with the Heat. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported Tuesday morning that Powell isn’t going to re-sign with Miami barring a “crazy discount.” With Powell seemingly available now, it’s no surprise that Detroit will at least kick the tires on the 33-year-old All-Star. The Pistons will continue to look to add shooting and playmaking around its core this offseason and Powell could factor into those plans. Stein and Fischer report Detroit is also interested in Tyler Herro, Coby White and Isaiah Joe.

Amick, citing league sources, reported that the Bucks will listen to offers on their newly acquired 26-year-old All-Star point guard. He went on to say that it’s believed that Herro will have a robust market with the Detroit Pistons among many interested teams. While the trade sending Herro to the Bucks has been agreed to, it won’t be finalized until July 6, which means there’s still time for more teams and players to be added to the deal. Finding Herro, whose contract is expiring, a new home makes sense as the Bucks head into a rebuild in the post-Giannis era.

The long-rumored trade between the Heat and Bucks is finally done, and Herro, a native of the Milwaukee area, is headed back home. Coming off of his first All-Star season, the 2025-26 campaign was one to forget for the guard, who was limited to 33 games due to injuries. There have been some rumors that Milwaukee could look to move Herro elsewhere. However, if he were to stay, the guard would be a key building block in the post-Giannis era of the franchise. That status would raise his fantasy ceiling, even if Herro’s efficiency could suffer.

Herro struggled with his shot on Tuesday during his 34 minutes on the floor. Specifically, his inability to finish efficiently inside the three-point line led to the low field-goal percentage. Yet, he sank three triples and produced at the free-throw line to end as one of Miami’s three players with at least 20 points on the night. Herro also turned out a solid outing as a facilitator in the team’s season-ending loss. He battled injuries throughout the season and only logged 33 regular-season games, leaving him with little fantasy basketball value in his seventh NBA season.

Adebayo fell hard on his back during the second quarter of Tuesday’s Play-In Tournament game while trying to save a loose ball. He was subbed out at the ensuing deadball, taken to the locker room, and never returned. He was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the game during the third quarter, leaving Miami without one of its best players. Jaime Jaquez Jr. started in Adebayo’s place to begin the second half and could see more minutes if the team advances, depending on Adebayo’s status.

Adebayo wraps up the regular season with his third straight 20-point double-double while also contributing multiple defensive stats in each game. He typically isn’t quite as impactful in fantasy basketball as he is on the court for the Heat, but he has been a fantasy stud over the final couple months. Miami will be the 10th seed in the East, meaning they will travel to Charlotte for the play-in tournament next week. If Adebayo is playing this well, they will certainly have a chance to survive the tournament and make it to the playoffs.

Fontecchio will not play on Sunday after being considered probable on the initial report released on Saturday. Tyler Herro is available and was going to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup, regardless of Fontecchio’s status.

Initially probable for Sunday’s game, Fontecchio is trending in the wrong direction on availability. Tyler Herro will be available after sitting out Friday’s win over the Wizards; he’ll regain his spot in the starting lineup regardless of what happens with Fontecchio.

Herro and Mitchell are available for Sunday’s regular-season finale after not playing in Friday’s win over the Wizards. Their returns will push Simone Fontecchio and Kasparas Jakučionis to the bench, with the former offering a higher ceiling when used in a reserve role. A win over the Hawks, combined with a Hornets loss to the Knicks, would move Miami into the No. 9 seed. They would host the 9 vs. 10 game on Wednesday night.
