Koa Peat tallied 17 points (6-of-11 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, four assists and one blocked shot in Friday’s win over the Trail Blazers.

Peat’s physicality was one of his strengths at the college level, and it was on display in his summer league debut on Friday. The rookie forward shot over 50 percent from the field and was active on the glass, but he also committed eight personal fouls. Players are allowed 10 fouls in summer league, so that isn’t a huge issue. However, getting better at playing with physicality without fouling will be an area in which Peat needs to improve. Against the Trail Blazers, he did his offensive work around the basket and in the mid-range, not attempting a three-pointer. Perimeter shooting is where Peat has the most work to do, so the lack of attempts isn’t a surprise.

Peat, the 30th overall pick in June’s draft, logged 16 minutes off the bench in San Antonio. Given Phoenix’s current crop of forwards, rotation minutes may be challenging to come by early in the season. However, this group has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, which may open the door for Peat. He played well against the Spurs, but the rookie should only be rostered in dynasty leagues right now.

Peat has played well in all three of Phoenix’s games in Las Vegas, with Monday’s game being the most productive in points. The rookie forward recorded just one assist, but the Suns seemed to have no problem with him bringing the ball up the floor and facilitating. With Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Miles Bridges on the roster, Peat is unlikely to have the ball in his hands much as a rookie. However, he’s shown the ability to influence play despite offering little as a perimeter shooter.

Along with teammate Brayden Burries, Peat helped lead Arizona to its first Final Four since 2001. In 36 games, the 6-foot-7 forward averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 0.7 blocks, shooting 52.8 percent from the field and 62.3 percent from the foul line. Peat did most of his damage offensively in the paint, and he struggled with his shot at the NBA Draft Combine. That’s the area where he will need to improve, but the rebounding ability and motor will allow Peat to compete for minutes immediately. He’ll head about two hours north of where he played his college basketball, with the Arizona native’s draft rights being acquired by the Suns. How much help the Suns need in the frontcourt will depend partially on what happens with Mark Williams, who will be a restricted free agent. Peat is not a center, but his athleticism and rebounding ability will be key, especially if the Suns move on from Williams. This pick was part of a three-team deal, with Phoenix acquiring it from Dallas after Dallas acquired the draft rights of No. 25 pick Sergio De Larrea from the Knicks. New York, which moves out of the first round with the transaction, received three future second-round picks.

Keegan Murray (ankle) is now doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies.

Murray, who was initially questionable for Sunday’s game, is on track to sit after the status downgrade. If he can’t play, Precious Achiuwa may benefit most, as he’s likely to replace Murray in the starting lineup.

Khalifa Diop (knee) is out for Monday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Due to left knee injury management, Diop has not made his NBA debut since signing a multi-year deal with the Cavaliers in September. His continued absence won’t affect Cleveland’s frontcourt rotation.

Patrick Williams (groin) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Celtics.

Williams, who missed Saturday’s loss to the Wizards, was a DNP-CD in Chicago’s first two games. If he’s healthy enough to play on Monday, the former lottery pick is unlikely to get the minutes needed to be fantasy-relevant.

Noa Essengue (head) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Celtics.

Essengue sat out Saturday’s loss to the Wizards with a right-side head contusion. If he remains out, Zach Collins may retain the backup center role. Collins played 11 minutes on Saturday, which isn’t enough time to offer tangible fantasy value.

Tyler Bilodeau (shoulder) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.

Bilodeau has yet to appear in a game due to his sprained right shoulder, and the Nets have not provided a return timeline. His continued absence doesn’t affect fantasy basketball, as the rookie isn’t guaranteed a spot in the rotation once healthy.

LeBron James (sciatica) is not on the injury report for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.

James is good to go after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Bucks. Dean Wade replaced him in the starting lineup, but both may start on Sunday since Joel Embiid (foot) is out.

Joel Embiid (foot) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.

Embiid said after Saturday’s win over the Bucks that he wouldn’t play Sunday, and the team has now made it official. LeBron James is not on the injury report after sitting out on Saturday, so he may see more playing time at center than he did in wins over the Knicks and Cavaliers.

Jabari Walker (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.

Walker limped off the court during the third quarter of Saturday’s win over the Bucks and did not return. According to the 76ers’ injury report, he’s dealing with a sore left knee. With Joel Embiid (foot) also ruled out for Sunday, Adem Bona’s playing time is likely to increase, but he isn’t worth the streaming risk in most leagues.

Ausar Thompson (ankle) did not participate in Sunday’s pregame shootaround.

Thompson, who’s officially questionable for Sunday’s game against the 76ers, sprained his right ankle during Friday’s win over the Heat. If he can’t play, the Pistons have multiple options on the bench, including Ron Holland II and Javonte Green. Holland played 22 minutes on Friday, while Green played 13.

The Pistons announced on Sunday that Jalen Duren (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Duren was injured in the second quarter of Friday’s win over the Heat and did not return to the game. With the Pistons’ starting center sidelined for at least two weeks, now is the time to add Paul Reed if he’s sitting on the waiver wire. In 26 minutes on Friday, Reed tallied 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who visit the 76ers on Sunday.
