Chris Cenac Jr. finished Thursday’s exhibition against the Cavaliers with seven points (3-of-13 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist and four blocks.

Cenac struggling with his shot in his unofficial Celtics debut was unsurprising, as he’s still a work in progress offensively. Still, the first-round pick out of Houston played with a high motor and posted solid numbers in rebounds and blocks. Given Boston’s expected rotation, Cenac will face tough odds to lock down minutes once the regular season begins. However, he is a player you have to roster in dynasty leagues.

While Chris Cenac is not likely to impact fantasy leagues this season, it’s nice to see what he was able to do in the start. Embiid was a difficult matchup who got him into foul trouble. Cenac has the tools to be an impactful player, but his decision making held him back in college. He likes to being coached hard, which will make him a good fit for Mazzulla. In dynasty leagues, you will have to be patient this year and pay attention to flashes in the G League this year.
  • BOS Forward-Center
After coming off the bench in his first two summer league games, Cenac moved into the Celtics’ starting lineup on Monday. And as he did in his summer debut, the first-round pick out of Houston blocked four shots. Cenac was also responsible for five turnovers, but there should not be too much concern about that category. As long as he’s active on defense and on the glass, there should be opportunities for Cenac to contribute this season, even with Boston improving its frontcourt depth by signing Mitchell Robinson.
  • BOS Forward-Center
In his lone college season, Cenac shot 30-of-90 from beyond the arc; it wasn’t a major aspect of his game. On Friday, he shot 2-of-4 from deep, including one in the final seconds of regulation that forced overtime. Of greater importance to the Celtics was Cenac’s activity as a rebounder and defender, as he recorded 10 rebounds and five defensive contributions. Boston’s depth in the post should give Cenac time to develop, but he’ll be a solid option for managers competing in dynasty leagues.
  • BOS Forward-Center
There were some questions regarding Cenac’s motor before he entered college, and playing for Kelvin Sampson at Houston was an excellent way to address that. Making 36 starts in his lone college season, the 6-foot-11 forward/center averaged 9.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks in 24.8 minutes, shooting 48.5 percent from the field and 62.1 percent from the foul line. While his current athleticism and competitiveness as a rebounder and defender are why Cenac is a first-round pick, his long-term value will be determined by how much progress he can make offensively. Boston has decent depth at center, with Neemias Queta leading the group. Cenac will get time to develop in Boston, though he likely won’t play much of a role early on.

Stephen Curry tallied 34 points (9-of-21 FGs, 11-of-12 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Monday’s win over the Suns.

While he didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, Curry extended his streak of games with at least 31 points to three. The Warriors star was at his best in the third quarter, shooting 6-of-9 from the field and scoring 18 points. Outside that period, the Suns kept Curry in check, but he still went home with a stat line that many fantasy managers will take without hesitation.

Austin Reaves lit up the Heat with 27 points (10-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, five assists, four three-pointers and five turnovers on Monday.

The last few games had been rough for Reaves, but he was able to get back on track in this one. The turnovers still weren’t great, and he now has 24 over his last four outings. However, he was far more efficient as a scorer, which helped the Lakers secure a second win in as many days. Reaves has been a high-level second option behind Luka Dončić this season, though the turnovers need to be cleaned up for him to match his production from last year.

Luka Dončić led the Lakers with 42 points (14-of-24 FGs, 8-of-10 FTs), seven rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and six three-pointers in a 138-117 win over the Heat on Monday.

It has been an unreal start to the season for Dončić, and Monday’s performance was just another chapter. He has scored at least 35 points and knocked down at least six three-pointers in each of his last five appearances, while going for at least 40 in four of those outings. The one game he didn’t score 40, he had 37, which was also the only game during this stretch where he shot below 50 percent from the floor. Dončić set a new season high for assists in this game as well. He has been an elite offensive engine, and he’ll look to stay hot against the Kings on Wednesday.

Walker Kessler recorded a double-double on Monday with 15 points (7-of-13 FGs), 15 rebounds, two assists and two steals against the Heat.

Kessler has finally started dominating the glass. He has recorded three straight double-doubles and has at least 15 points and 15 rebounds in each of his last two outings. Kessler has been exactly what the Lakers have needed, and it has worked out well for fantasy managers as well. With Luka Dončić running the offense, Kessler should continue to be a fantasy star.

Davion Mitchell finished with 15 points (5-of-5 FGs), seven assists, one block and four three-pointers on Monday against the Lakers.

While Mitchell had a spectacular game, volume was an issue. He didn’t miss a shot from the floor, but he only took five shots. Mitchell has had an excellent start to the year, but his lack of shot attempts prevented him from having a better night. However, he continues to dish out the dimes at a high rate, which has been the driving factor behind his top-75 value to start this season.
