Josh Hart tallied 13 points (5-of-8 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer in Thursday’s exhibition against the Wizards.

After a relatively quiet night in the Knicks’ preseason opener on Monday, Hart recorded a complete stat line on Thursday. With an ADP just inside the top-100, Hart is once again positioned to be a fantasy steal, especially in category leagues. He may not be the “sexiest” option for managers seeking significant upside, but one could do a lot worse than selecting Hart in drafts.

In what profiles to be a prolific rookie of the year race, Chris Mannix and Grant Liffmann unpack their ladder, highlighting Cam Boozer as the most "NBA-ready" player and a case for an end-of-lottery pick.

Bucks head coach Taylor Jenkins said on Wednesday that Nate Ament (ankle) is progressing in his recovery and is expected to be available for the team’s season opener.

Ament, the 13th overall pick in June’s draft, sprained his left ankle during the Bucks’ October 7 exhibition against the Thunder. He’s missed out on valuable game reps, but the rookie is making good progress in his recovery. Ament is expected to be back in time for the Bucks’ season opener on October 21 against the Wizards. While he’s a must-roster player in dynasty leagues, Ament should not be rostered in most redraft leagues.

Otega Oweh (Achilles) will miss the entire 2026-2027 season after tearing his Achilles tendon on Tuesday against the Pacers.

The hope was that this wasn’t the case after the injury happened on Tuesday, but it was unfortunately so. Otega had surgery Wednesday on his ruptured right Achilles tendon. He was known as a driver in college with an NBA body. Considering he is a player who is physical and very athletic, the hope is that it doesn’t impact his athleticism when he gets back on the court. Otega wasn’t likely to impact redraft leagues this season, but its a bummer for those holding in dynasty.

Mikel Brown Jr. will be active on Wednesday in the Nets exhibition against the Heat.

The Brooklyn Nets are keeping the same starting lineup as last game with Mikel coming off the bench. This will provide him an opportunity to ramp up into regular season form.

The Suns are starting Jamaree Bouyea, Luke Kennard, Ryan Dunn, Haywood Highsmith, and Khaman Maluach in Wednesday’s Exhibition against the Spurs.

The Suns are replacing Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks with Jamaree Bouyea and Haywood Highsmith from last Saturday’s exhibition. Jordan Goodwin will come off the bench as well.

Christian Anderson will be available Wednesday against the Boston Celtics.

Anderson is behind Dennis Schroeder in the rotation, but with the injuries to Coby White, there is an opportunity for the rookie point guard to get minutes early on in the season. He should fit right into Charles Lee’s 3PT heavy system.

Keshad Johnson (hamstring) is available for Wednesday’s exhibition against the Nets.

Johnson will be available for the first time this preseason after missing time with a hamstring injury. While the third-year wing will get a runout of sorts against the Nets, he’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball during the regular season. With Pelle Larsson (illness) out, there will be minutes available to Johnson.

Bam Adebayo (groin), Pelle Larsson (illness) and Dru Smith (calf) are out for Wednesday’s exhibition against the Nets.

Adebayo is dealing with right groin tightness, and his absence frees up additional minutes for Nick Richards. With his contract for the upcoming season not being guaranteed unless he makes the Opening Night roster, this is a big opportunity for Richards. With Klay Thompson available, he’ll slide into the starting lineup spot Larsson occupied in Saturday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Smith’s absence won’t change anything regarding fantasy basketball, as starting point guard Davion Mitchell is available.

The Warriors announced on Wednesday that Kristaps Porziņǵis (illness) will remain out indefinitely.

Porziņǵis, who has struggled with health issues for the last two seasons, missed Golden State’s first five preseason games due to what the Warriors describe as a “health-related matter.” He’ll remain sidelined indefinitely, giving Gui Santos and Yaxel Lendeborg more opportunities in the frontcourt. Both appear on track to start the regular season, with Lendeborg offering higher fantasy upside. Al Horford is expected to be limited to 20 minutes, so he offers little fantasy value. As for Porziņǵis, fantasy managers should avoid drafting him, especially in standard leagues.

Jonathan Isaac (personal) was back at Magic practice on Wednesday.

Isaac, who agreed to a one-year contract with the Magic in July, missed the team’s first two preseason games for personal reasons. While he gives Orlando another frontcourt option, his injury history and the other options available to head coach Sean Sweeney make Isaac a non-factor in fantasy leagues.

Magic head coach Sean Sweeney said on Wednesday that Anthony Black (ankle) is “progressing well” in his recovery.

Black suffered a right ankle sprain during a voluntary workout ahead of training camp and has not appeared in any of Orlando’s preseason games. He’s making good progress in his recovery, but the team will continue to “be smart” about how it handles the young guard’s potential return. He’s still worth selecting in the later rounds of drafts, especially given starting point guard Jalen Suggs’ injury history.
