    Spurs waive Josh Powell.
Powell, who spent some time in China during the lockout, was never expected to make the Spurs’ regular season roster. The Celtics and Suns briefly considered him last March, and it’s possible that injuries will open up a roster spot for him somewhere this season.
  • CHI Forward-Center #12

Zach Collins (toe) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Pelicans.
Collins was diagnosed with a sprained left big toe ahead of Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, and the Bulls have not provided a return timeline. Jalen Smith will figure more prominently in the Bulls’ rotation, but he’s unlikely to reach the point where he should be rostered in most fantasy leagues since Nikola Vučević is healthy.
Jokic to miss at least four weeks with knee injury
The Numbers on the Board crew talks about Nikola Jokic suffering a knee injury, sharing why “it changes the dynamic of the entire season” and previewing who needs to step up in Jokic’s absence, including Jamal Murray.
  • CHI Guard #0
Coby White (calf) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Pelicans.
While White will not play on Wednesday, the good news is that it’s due to right calf tightness rather than a strain. Josh Giddey (hamstring) is also out, meaning the Bulls will rely heavily upon Tre Jones, Ayo Dosunmu and Kevin Huerter. Fantasy managers seeking a streamer should prioritize Jones and Dosunmu ahead of Huerter.
  • CHI Guard #3
Josh Giddey (hamstring) has been ruled out against the Pelicans on Wednesday.
Giddey exited early from Monday’s game and is now being listed as out due to left hamstring tightness, which is much better than a strain. Giddey and Coby White (calf) being out will open up two starting spots and plenty of minutes for Ayo Dosunmu, Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter, with all three set to hold streaming value for at least one game.
  • SAS Guard #5
Stephon Castle (thumb) is questionable to play against the Knicks on Wednesday.
Castle has a chance to miss a game for the first time in nearly a month. In his absence, Dylan Harper should start in his place. Harper has yet to start an NBA game, but with Devin Vassell (adductor) sidelined, Harper will have a chance to make his first start.
  • SAS Guard-Forward #24
Devin Vassell (adductor) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Knicks.
Vassell is dealing with a strained left adductor, so this may not be the only game that he misses. With their starting guard/forward sidelined for the first time this season, the Spurs will likely turn to Julian Champagnie or Dylan Harper to fill the void in the starting lineup. While Harper offers a higher ceiling in category leagues, Champagnie has a safer floor.
  • OKC Forward #13
Ousmane Dieng (calf) has been ruled out against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
Dieng will miss an eighth straight game, but he wasn’t part of OKC’s rotation when he was healthy. His continued absence won’t open up any additional opportunities for other players on the Thunder.
  • NYK Guard #13
Tyler Kolek (ankle) is probable for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Despite a sore right ankle, Kolek played 12 minutes in Monday’s win over the Pelicans. He’ll likely take on a similar workload on Wednesday, as Miles McBride played 18 minutes in his return from an ankle injury against the Pelicans.
  • OKC Forward #6
Jaylin Williams (heel) is out against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
Williams has been sidelined since Dec. 13 and will remain out for another game. With Isaiah Hartenstein also sidelined, OKC will rely on Branden Carlson for the backup center minutes behind Chet Holmgren.
  • NYK Center #55
Ariel Hukporti (mouth) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Hukporti exited Monday’s win over the Pelicans during the second quarter after suffering a mouth contusion. If he can play on Wednesday, the second-year center will play rotation minutes, as Mitchell Robinson (ankle) is out. If Hukporti can’t play, Guerschon Yabusele and Trey Jemison will pick up additional minutes.
  • NYK Center-Forward #23
Mitchell Robinson (ankle) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Robinson will miss a second straight game due to left ankle injury management. Under normal circumstances, Ariel Hukporti would move into the rotation. However, he’s questionable with a mouth contusion. If Hukporti sits, Guerschon Yabusele and Trey Jemison will likely see additional minutes as they did on Monday.
