Channing Frye started for the Cavs on Sunday, posting five points, four rebounds, one assist and two turnovers in 16 minutes.
Frye recently announced that he’ll retire after this season, so Cleveland is giving him a warm farewell. Every player wore his number on their warmup outfits, he got the token start at center, and the fans erupted when he opened the game with a 3-pointer. Even if he does start again on Tuesday, this is more of a feel-good story than a DFS opportunity.

Rockets coach Ime Udoka told reporters Jae’Sean Tate (knee) suffered an MCL sprain will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Udoka admitted that a grade two MCL sprain typically sidelines players for 4-6 weeks, but noted that the Rockets will re-evaluate Tate every two weeks. This isn’t good news for the 30-year-old small forward. His absence doesn’t impact fantasy basket ball, though Dorian Finney-Smith could see more minutes off the bench.
Are the Pistons the best team in the NBA?
NBA Showtime discusses if the Pistons are the NBA’s best team, breaking down the team’s physicality and Cade Cunningham’s ascension.
  • POR Guard #17
Shaedon Sharpe (calf) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Sharpe is set to miss his seventh consecutive game with strained left calf. Sidy Cissoko and Scoot Henderson figure to start with Deni Avdija (back) also out.
  • POR Forward #8
Deni Avdija (back) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Avdija left Sunday’s game against the Suns after one minute of play due to his lower back flaring up. The 25-year-old small forward has understandably been ruled out of Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves for lower back injury management reasons. Scoot Henderson should see more minutes and usage with Avdija sidelined.
  • UTA Guard #3
Keyonte George (ankle) is out for Monday’s game against the Rockets.
George is set to miss his fifth consecutive game with a sprained right ankle. Isaiah Collier will continue to fill in during George’s absence and should be rostered in all leagues at this point.
  • UTA Forward-Center #23
Lauri Markkanen (illness) is available for Monday’s game against the Rockets.
Markkanen was initially listed as probable with an illness, so his availability for Monday’s game against the Rockets isn’t a surprise. He’s set to return after missing Friday’s loss to the Grizzlies. Markkanen’s return will spell John Konchar’s return to the bench.
  • SAS Center-Forward #7
Luke Kornet (leg) is questionable to return to Monday’s game against the Pistons.
Kornet suffered a right leg contusion in the first half of Monday’s game against the Pistons and is questionable to return. Carter Bryant should fill in for Kornet while he’s out.
  • MIN Center-Forward #11
Naz Reid (shoulder) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Reid missed Sunday’s loss to the 76ers with a sore right shoulder and is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with the Trail Blazers. Joan Beringer started and had seven points and three rebounds in 17 minutes with Reid out on Sunday.
  • MEM Forward-Guard #5
Kyle Anderson (knee) is out for Monday’s game against the Kings.
Anderson missed Saturday’s loss to the Heat and was initially listed as doubtful for Monday’s game against the Kings with a knee injury, so his absence isn’t much of a surprise. GG Jackson is the primary beneficiary from Anderson’s absence from a fantasy perspective as he’ll see plenty of minutes off the bench.
  • MEM Guard-Forward #2
Ty Jerome (illness) is out for Monday’s game against the Kings.
Jerome was a late addition to the injury report with an illness and was subsequently ruled out for Monday’s game against the Kings. Cam Spencer could move into the starting lineup with Scotty Pippen Jr. seeing additional minutes off the bench.
  • GSW Forward #23
Draymond Green (back) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans.
Green is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans with left low back injury management. The 35-year-old power forward was a late scratch for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets, which was a tough scene for fantasy managers who have him rostered. Green has a chance to return after just a one-game absence Tuesday.
