Jalen Duren shot 2-of-5 from the field in Sunday’s 103-81 loss to Chicago, scoring four points with 18 rebounds, one blocked shot, and six turnovers in 34 minutes.
The final game of Duren’s rookie season was a mixed bag. While he was a beast on the boards, grabbing 18, he was also responsible for a team-worst six turnovers. Duren grabbed 18 rebounds or more in three games this season, finishing the year with an average of 8.9 per game. He had late-round value in standard leagues, but projecting Duren’s value for next season is a bit tricky. The Pistons will have a new head coach, as Dwane Casey announced his decision to move into the front office after Sunday’s game. And there’s a surplus of bigs on the roster, with James Wiseman (11 points, 12 rebounds, and one blocked shot in 25 minutes), Marvin Bagley (12/7/0/1 with two 3-pointers in 19 minutes), and Isaiah Stewart all under contract for next season.
