Daniel Theis played 22 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s 113-112 win over the Warriors, scoring 12 points (6-of-11 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocked shots.
The minutes split at center on Saturday was nearly even, with Theis playing 22 minutes to starter Ivica Zubac’s 23. In addition to the 22 minutes being a season-high for Theis, this was also the first time he’s surpassed 20 since November 24 (21 MIN vs. New Orleans). A double-digit scorer in back-to-back games, he still isn’t at the point where deep-league managers can rely on him for consistent production. Whether or not Theis reaches that point before Mason Plumlee (knee) is cleared to return will depend on how the minutes are divided. Zubac, who’s rostered in 76% of Yahoo leagues, finished Saturday’s win with 12 points (6-of-6 FGs), seven rebounds, one assist, and three blocks.
