Portland waived Skylar Mays and Ish Wainright on Saturday.
While Mays played a large role for Portland in November, he hasn’t been part of the rotation since Malcolm Brogdon and Anfernee Simons returned to the lineup. Wainright has spent a large portion of the season injured, so his release won’t impact the rotation either. However, the Blazers went from 15 players rostered to just 13, which is a sign that another move may be coming soon. They also avoided having to fully guaranteeing those contracts by waiving them before Sunday at 5pm ET.

Jalen Pickett, Peyton Watson, Spencer Jones, Hunter Tyson and Aaron Gordon will start Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
The Nuggets won’t have Jamal Murray or Christian Braun for Sunday’s game, but Gordon is back after missing Friday’s loss to the Hawks. He’ll start, with DaRon Holmes II heading to the bench. Also in the lineup are Jones and Tyson, with the latter having started against Atlanta.
HLs: Hornets bury Jazz with barrage of 3-pointers
The Charlotte Hornets make 24 three-point field goals and score 150 points to rout the Utah Jazz on the road.
  • HOU Guard #0
Aaron Holiday will replace Tari Eason (ankle) in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Kings.
Eason sprained his ankle during Friday’s loss to the Trail Blazers and will not be available for Sunday’s game. Holiday will start, but how valuable he is as a streamer also depends on Alperen Şengün. The Rockets’ starting center is a game-time decision with a sprained ankle. Steven Adams will get another start if Şengün can’t play.
  • DEN Forward #21
Spencer Jones (ankle, illness) is available for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Jones is back after a one-game absence. If he’s re-inserted into the starting lineup, Hunter Tyson would be bumped to the bench.
  • DEN Forward #32
Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is available for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Gordon is good to go after initially being probable for Sunday’s game. The Nuggets have kept the forward on a minutes restriction since his return, and that’s unlikely to change against the Bucks. Spencer Jones or Hunter Tyson would be the starting power forward if Gordon comes off the bench again.
  • DEN Guard #0
Christian Braun (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Braun was initially probable for Sunday’s game, which makes the status downgrade somewhat surprising. His absence will likely result in Bruce Brown returning to the starting lineup. While he hasn’t as impactful in fantasy basketball as he was in his first stint with the Nuggets, Brown is worth streaming in this spot.
  • DEN Guard #27
Jamal Murray (ankle, illness) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Initially questionable for Sunday, Murray will miss a second consecutive game due to an ankle injury and an illness. Jalen Pickett will once again replace him in the starting lineup, and he is worth streaming as a spot starter.
  • ATL Forward-Center #8
Kristaps Porziņģis (Achilles) is out for Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Porziņģis will miss a second consecutive game, freeing up rotation minutes for Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell. Neither player is worth streaming in redraft leagues, but they should be rostered in dynasty formats.
  • MIL Guard-Forward #7
Kevin Porter Jr. (hip) is available for Sunday’s game against the Nuggets.
Porter was initially probable for Sunday’s game, so the status upgrade is unsurprising. He’ll occupy his usual place in the starting lineup as the Bucks look to end Week 12 with a win.
  • GSW Guard #31
Seth Curry (back) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Curry is still recovering from a sciatic nerve issue and has not appeared in a game since December 4. His continued absence will not affect fantasy basketball.
  • TOR Guard #14
Ja’Kobe Walter (hip) will not return to Sunday’s game against the 76ers.
Walter suffered a right hip pointer during the first quarter, ending his night after five minutes. Rookie Alijah Martin has already played seven minutes off the bench, making him someone to watch for the rest of Sunday’s game. His streaming value moving forward depends on the availability of Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett, both of whom are unavailable on Sunday.
